this mod does not change any ship stats. this mod only includes mesh files which are pure 3D graphic files like stated in the mod description. and it only fixes vanilla bugs. hence i am afraid another mod will be the cause for your problem
yes
frankly i am not sure if it was before or not. this was basically only a mod that i have split up from my main mod (ACG) and i assumed it wasn't achievement compatible since all my mods usually aren't achievement compatible. that said it's good to know that it's obviously achievement compatible now. thanks for the information. i will update the mod description shortly
frankly there are many mods on the workshop where one could expect them to be achievement compatible because they don't change any gameplay mechanics but they somehow aren't. this mod only changed graphical mesh files for fixing bugs. i can't tell you why PDX devs decided that those files are potentially incompatible with achievements. i can only provide the information that last time i checked, this mod did not allow for achievements in stellaris when used.

i just checked the humanoid turrets but i could not find any missing locators for turrets with a second barrel. then i thought you might used mammalian instead of humanoid, so i checked those mammalian turrets too but there i also could not find a missing locator for turrets with a second barrel. so i guess your observation was random since i doubt that there is another mod overwriting this mod's turret bug fix changes
since i did not change the amount of locators and since i focused my efforts on fixing the most obvious misplacements, i think it's possible that there are still vanilla turrets left that only contain one locator even though there are several barrels.
maybe i will add more locators in the future for those turrets with several barrels that only have one locator in vanilla. having said that if you want, feel free to let me know which graphical culture you are playing by observing this f.e. lithoid or plantoid or humanoid etc. and which weapon component size you used (S, M, L, XL) and i will take a look :)
well it depends.
if it's a turret with several locators for several barrels then it might be random which barrel shooting effect you see and due to randomness this can cause one barrel shooting effect repeating itself a few times.
if it's a turret with only one locator (even though it might have more barrels) and this locator is only positioned at one barrel of a turret with several barrels, then you would only see the shooting effect coming from one barrel.
