Oh...well, wasn't really reporting an error. Was asking a question. Welp, onto brute forcing a solution then. Sorry.

@Klaxon Please see the Reporting Issues section described above

I have this mod and Coal Expanded, Continued variant. I try to use the Bloomery and everything seems to be in order; this mod's iron and the required coal and/or charcoal but my colonists/tribals never work at it and right clicking to try to prioritize it does nothing. Am I missing something?

I made the fix for it already myself, but this is the mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2970472846
Mlie  [author] 4 Feb @ 11:00pm
@KDHD Please link to that mod

@Dr. Quackers M.D. Just tiresome to reiterate information that already is available in descriptions just because some users would rather post a question instead of taking a few seconds to read for themselves.
I noticed you didnt read my full profile-text either, I am not surprised
Dr. Quackers M.D. 13 Jan @ 1:39am
after "reading" your profile I see you are very pretentious like one of those people nobody likes in an anime.
You say if you haven't posted a Rimworld mod you will be ignored. Just like one of those pretentious anime jerks who make standards from which to elevate themselves and there ego while looking down on other.
Have a great time with that.....
Dr. Quackers M.D. 13 Jan @ 1:34am
no need to be like that I read from top to bottom like most people so I didnt read past 1.2 but ok sure be snide, and sarcastic. Oh hope I didnt use to big a word there for you with snide....
Mlie  [author] 12 Jan @ 11:57pm
@Dr. Quackers M.D. Strange, when I look at them I see the link to their updated versions among the top comments.
But I understand that reading can be tricky, just keep practicing and soon you will be able to read whole pages 🙂

@Dr. Quackers M.D. From the description: You require a coal mod for Vanilla Iron and Steel to function correctly.
Dr. Quackers M.D. 12 Jan @ 5:51pm
im not
Mlie  [author] 12 Jan @ 1:39pm
@Dr. Quackers M.D. What coal mod are you using?
Dr. Quackers M.D. 10 Jan @ 9:41pm
when turning iron into steel the bill is always not available and grayed out even if i have 5000 iron in my inventory this is at the electric smelter.
Mlie  [author] 9 Jan @ 11:47pm
@Dr. Quackers M.D. Not sure what you mean?
Dr. Quackers M.D. 9 Jan @ 10:22pm
So I think its count X5 ingredients as an item itself when turning iron into steel. I have 600 iron which is more then 5X more then the 100 steel I am trying to produce. That makes me think its counting X5 as a separate ingredient.

@tanyfilina As long as any licenses are followed I have no objections

Hello! I'm making a mod based on this one, but expanding a lot (more ores, lot more recipes, but using the bloomery and metal bar texture and compatibility patches). Would you mind me uploading this new mod on my own, with a reference?
GravGunner 3 May, 2024 @ 2:29am
Ah sorry, was caught up a bit yesterday.
Your other mod Third Age Continued ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2242416385 ) and this one seem to have some discrepancies in their Iron (the item and the Spawning Ores (Iron ore vs Iron Ore Deposit))

They do seem to work together otherwise :)
Mlie  [author] 2 May, 2024 @ 10:11pm
@GravGunner Not sure I understand, what mod do you want it to be compatible with?
GravGunner 2 May, 2024 @ 5:25pm
@Mlie First off, thank you for all the mods you make.

Second; can this mod and Vanilla Iron and Steel be made compatible? At the moment their iron is different from each other (at the least, haven't looked further than that atm)

I'm pretty sure there was a mod that added uranium centrifuges and stuff to create both depleted uranium for gear and the glowy stuff for big booms. Forgot what it's called though.
Mlie  [author] 9 Oct, 2023 @ 4:43am
@hottt3 There shouldnt be that complex to do a similar mod for uranium. Could be a good project for someone wanting to get into modding for example. Anyone is free to use this mod as a template for it.
hottt3 9 Oct, 2023 @ 4:39am
Thanks for your work!
I understand that you're not the original author of this mod, yet still there's an inconsistency in the logic of the game with this mod installed. It's because you still have uranium ore, which is in fact a pure uranium as long as it does not require production.
I truly wish that smelting/extraction uranium from uranium ore was also a researchable tech (much advanced in tech tree than steel) and was more energy consuming process than production of steel - as it is in reality.
Mlie  [author] 24 Aug, 2023 @ 9:52am
@zyzyhasl I did not create this mod, you would have to ask the original author about their intent
zyzyhasl 24 Aug, 2023 @ 9:49am
I noticed there is a patch with 【Vanilla Textures Expanded】,but why?Obviously, the steel texture of this mod is better.
Mlie  [author] 26 Aug, 2022 @ 12:36am
@Cider Bizet You cant make steel out of iron and wood, you need coal for that
Cider Bizet 26 Aug, 2022 @ 12:15am
Why do I need a coal mod when, supposedly, wood works just as well?
The Blind One 1 May, 2022 @ 6:13pm
Any idea where the other two work benches are from that are shown in the image above the 'How to Start' section in the description of this mod?
Gadget 29 Dec, 2021 @ 12:30pm
nevermind!
Gadget 29 Dec, 2021 @ 12:26pm
could we get an update of the one of the listed coal mods as well?
