I believe the biggest thing is the ambient AI spawn from the old version. If things seem too easy or empty that'd be why.

You can over-wright it though with classnames for w/e units from w/e mods you want.

I recommend the "old" version I made the scenario with but it should(?) work with the newer version.

Check the map for a flag icon. A recent update added a chance for up to 4 NPCs to spawn that are recruit-able.

Also you can use the server settings (Vandeanson's Apocalypse) to overwrite what the mission has for NPC spawns so if you want less or more or entirely different units spawning around you it should work. :steamhappy:

I think the idea of buying squad mates would be a good addition considering we fighting heaps of infantry on foot idk If I just got unlucky but I ended up in a 1 hour fight with like 30-40 guys needless to say I did not get out alive XD

You can get navigation tools from dead soldiers (NATO / RU). Food/Water/Tools you can get from armed civilians (Renegades). Lots of the common stuff can be sold.

Just one more thing the traders do not work i can't buy matches to cook my dirty rabbit meat. Also you only find ammunition, empty cans and clothes and NOT maps, watches or matches so on... and I walked all over the map. Otherwise I enjoy it just have to eat raw rabbit and drink dirty water lol

Nice Mission, except that the zombies see you from a mile away, while crawling on the floor? I like the challenge in here but the Zeds are crazy man, turn down their vision in ravage edit, PLS!

You should find food from civilian renegades or looted from objects. I believe well objects have a limited amount of uses per game day.

so is eating and drinking actually a think? i see in the inventory menu there is the thirst and hunger, but after player like over 6 hrs total i havent come across not a single crumb of any kind of food or drink. and the few wells ive come across wont let me drink from it with an empty can. just says the water source is depleted. Other then that, SUPER fun mod

1) "Heart of Evil" for Arma 3 - My first campaign on the workshop and it's my largest project. It got a large update recently with improvements QoLs and more content. If you have SOG Prairie Fire I recommend playing it, the last scenario is a sandbox zombie survival scenario. (Another campaign in the works atm but it'll be shorter, using the Cytech terrain.)

2) Ravage: Money Hunters - Series of three (so far) "Extraction" based scenarios that each work a bit differently but I -think- money is shared across all three scenarios (since "SimpleShops" saves to your Arma 3 profile.). The Chernarus Redux version got an update yesterday. These have a large optional mod list for either loot spawning in the world or the shops selling modded weapons/equipment.

3) Ravage: Running Shadows - Night time snowfall Chernarus with a Webknight's twist on Ravage zombies.

4) Ravage: Quagmire in the sand - Similar idea to "Ravage: Takistan Tour" and "Ravage: Zargibad at dawn"(Shortest of the three mentioned here.), desert invironment doing tasks survival sandstorms and the like.

5) OPTRE: It Followed Us Down - My first Halo mod scenario using the Cytech Terrain. Got maybe an hour of content outta this one but hot damn I'm proud of it. :3

6) Ravage: Snow Over Altis - Uses the winter version of Altis as a semi-sandbox scenario with an ending and CSAT winter patrols and camps.

7) Ravage: Water Road - Required Western Sahara CDLC but if you like desert immersion then I recommend it, it's pretty action packed and "immersive". :)

8) Ravage: A Hike Through Livonia - It's a comfy sandboxy scenario on Livonia with one task that opens up the gameplay a bit more once you've done it. The scenario uses simpleshops with a hand full of optional mods to buy weapons/gear with.

9) Ravage: Island Paradise 2 - A zombie scenario with a bit of a Far Cry feel. Not too long of a scenario but the terrain makes it pretty comfy.

10) Ravage: White Out - One of my favorites, Namalsk island terrain with blizzard weather scripts and some light music in places.

There's more I would recommend like "Ankle Deep in Hell" and the "Ravage Mayhem Tours" this is a good recommendation list for players just now seeing my stuff. I learn as I made things so quality varies though naturally I recommend playing everything I made...cause I made'm. Personally I think "Storm Zero" may be my worst one. *shrugs*

Numbers 2 and 8 are more sandbox-y and don't feature actual endings while everything else does. :)

Oh and lastly Just Another Days MP version have different thing's in'em too so check those out. I -try- so stay within the same list of mods to avoid people downloading too much stuff.

Was is dark? Think Ravage spawned AI have a delay or something to shoot at you. You're not the first person to ask that and I don't think there are any friendlies outside of the one recruit-able AI.

I like the idea of being able to buy squad mates. When I came across a guy in town he didn’t fire at me but keep pointing his rifle my way. Bug or there are friendly looters?

Nice to hear! There is one hidden NPC you can recruit but I could add in more or something Northwest road before the mountain bases . The Chernarus 2020 version has a store you can buy squadmates.

Earplugs: I know others have struggled with this & I finally figured it out. It's under the ACE self interaction menu. Sub-menu equipment.

Within first 5 mins of spawn three mercs are near fighting each other and zeds, one merc I snipe, then a running zed spots me from 1000m away comes running, a heli makes passes mowing down zeds near a town... just lmao

Scenario updated with some optimization though the long loading time is still there. The upcoming MP version of this and the 2020 scenario should release in February. Both of the multiplayer scenarios will feature a few new things to support COOP and/or PvP with basic Grad saving capability. I also added the arctic base line in the features list. Tasks in this and the other ones are just a side optional thing since the script itself is an easy to do addition. I'm trying to cut down on the load times by deleted a bunch of stuff but still have the core experience intact. Probably post an update later today or tomorrow.

Goodness me, this mission is exhausting (in a good way!). There's just so much going on and everything wants to kill me. I didn't even complete one task, yet I had great fun.

It takes a long time to load, but that doesn't matter.
