it's funny, because there is a different, live tree card prop that's present in vanilla gmod, and the map author could've replaced that one instead, but he used the dead tree card among other weird replacements which he could just as well make into new custom assets so now shit's fucked for everybody lol
sadly, that map is more than 10 years old at this point

I have traced the issue regarding the replacement of dead tree cards (and probably several other issues, if you look at the comments) with the live tree card back to gm_Floatingworlds_3_v2:

Hahaha, yeah. Caught me off guard when I first saw it. It doesn't detract from my use of the map in the slightest.

After disabling all my mods (though none are replacement mods) and enabling just the map, it is working correctly as described with dead trees. Time to dig.

unfortunately i think this is unfixable, as the entire windshield is just a single translucent texture, and the same applies to the tree card prop, so they fight for render priority and it's just the way it is

plus, i don't recognize these exact trees, it looks like you have a replacement addon installed, because it definitely doesn't look as neat when the tree cards are vanilla, because those are supposed to be dead trees

Figure I might as well share this graphical glitch I encountered playing the map, as you still seem to be developing future/updated content possibly?

You will see there how when standing in the cab of the train and looking to the RIGHT side of the tracks, certain specific foliage will for some reason appear in front of/through the windshield of the train. I'm not sure if this is just something Source does, or if it's an issue with those specific tree assets used and how they display when viewed through windows.

first things first, sv_cheats 1, then try this string in console:
ent_fire mapshk stopshake

map cleanup will reset and restart the env_shake entity, so you'll have to type the command again

I suffer from motion sickness in some situations and for some reason this triggers it occasionally.

func_conveyor in my testing didn't affect props at all , thus the map uses trigger_push entity, however none of these entities affect cleint side ragdolls, it's just a limit which i can't get around as a mapper
well, either that or i'm just impeccably imbecilic, my mapping experience is not very consistent, but i lean towards the first option

wait, does func_conveyor affect props, ragdolls? or it wouldn't possible because player ragdoll is client side

i have no power there since a player becomes a client-side ragdoll on death that is mostly unaffected by map's physics, which can be changed by installing certain addons that turn players into server-side ragdolls, if you consider it worth a hustle
