However, in your case, I don't think it'd help. It sounds like a mod incompatibility, and you should check the crash log for what actually causes this, so you can fix the root cause. Check out the "Bug reports" thread for more info on how to access the crash log, the last few lines of the log file should have the reason for why the game crashed.
i have character that crashes the game when loads but this mod prevents it but the mod itself automatically set anticrash to no
This mod works in a smarter way than the "clear tears" mod as it fixes the root cause of most game crashes: visual effects. This way, it can prevent game crashes and freezes where you wouldn't have enough time to panic delete all tears.
Is this mod compatible with Mod Config Pure?
I kept crashing on the beast because i had a Haemolacria + Technology + Parasite run so the screen was always full of projectiles and lasers.
I noticed a slight fps drop every time it would have normally crashed but the game kept going afterwards.
Wonderful; thank you!
Alternatively, you can also check C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Repentance\log.txt as it should also contain the error message.
it also hides the "select" and "return" options until you move to another mod
I've had one person report that one of their mods made their enter key delete everything in the room, so perhaps one of your mods does something similar. Next time this happens, try checking the console. I wish you luck with finding the culprit.
Unfortunately I can't provide any more information, and it's more of a genuine question on whether or not such a thing is even possible. If it happens again I'll provide a proper bug report now that I'm sure it wasn't a mod I'm developing that caused the issue.
