@Krast
I have no idea if this works with the day one/week one mod. I'm not sure how the NPCs are setup so use at your own risk!
They work together, yes. Not the same :) The starving zombies mod has an optional mode where bloodied clothes and bloodied weapons attract zombies as well as dead zombie bodies.
This mod only makes it so specifically un-bandaged injuries, active bleeding and injuries covered with dirty bandages attract zombies.
I use them together in my playthroughs!
does this mod work with the one you recommended? or do they both essentially do the same?
At the same time, take a look at this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3396867685
It attracts zombies to the player if your clothes are bloody as well as towards dead zombies!
@Jkm No issues as far as I know, works for multiplayer
I recommend this mod here an there and was just told, it´s not for larger servers ?
1) The perfume or cologne which you find around the game could be used to cover the scent.
2) The wind direction and/or speed (which you hear on the radio in the base game) effect the scent range/position.
3) The option to have dirt or sweat attract zombies too so that those things have more purpose in the game while adding to the realism/detail of the game mechanics.
I was thinking of making a mod like this until I found this mod.
I wonder how you went about making it. I was considering using a fake "sound" to attract zombies every so often while you're bloody/dirty.
Interestingly, it seems the base game has an unused "smell" parameter so perhaps the project zomboid team will implement this themselves eventually.
A Deep Wound with a range of 15, Bleeding wound range of 20 and Dirty Bandage of 50 will result in a range of 7.5.
Hope this clarifies a bit!
The descriptions of settings are a bit confusing;
With the default settings (Deep wound range: 15, Bleeding Deep wound range: 20 , Dirty bandage range modifier: 50):
If I have 1 x Deep wound bandaged, with dirty bandage, will the equivalent range be 7.5 or 15 ?
Thank you for your answer!
