I checked it. It should work.
Keep in mind when you heal a unit, that has lost entities, it can never be healed to max HP.
Every single entity has its own health bar.

Just need to point out that all tables in better magic collection should not have their names end in numbers, all of the outdated table in this mod must updated to the latest, and duplicated combined keys in "db/special_ability_to_invalid_target_flags_tables/data__" needs to be corrected.

For me this one is crashing. I have other 8 mods active, all of them are just simple UI changes (like changing the exp chevrons on units to numbers) or qol ones like the better camera mod. Already redownloaded it but can't even get to the start screen, always crashes with this mod active.

It only heals the caster for a very low amount of health.

@Cynn so, if it works how I think it does, it's pretty easy.
Which would be adding 2 lines into the spreading table.
If this doesn't do it, I would have to search.

But you could just increase the range of the circle to half the map.
Which is as easy as changing a single number in one table.

How difficult would it be to change certain spells to use the spreading mechanic rather than a circle? Like say for instance I want to buff my front line, but because it is. Well. A line as opposed to a circle, it can only hit 2 out of say 5 units. Having a spell spread itself between units to buff up the entire front line would be pretty sweet.

I know next to nothing about modding, but I'm curious how doable you think this would be. Some spells in the game already use it like the Lore of the Hags' Curse of the Ancient Witch.

So spells that deal damage will still be more powerful when overcast. Even those who originally only have their range increased.
Duration and effect stays the same for spells that buff or debuff.
Like when you cast a spell that gives 20 Melee atk.
Overcasting still gives only 20 melee atk but it will be aoe.

Duration and Effect will be the same for Normal and Overcast what does this mean? are overcast spells still more powerful and do more damage or is it the same and no point in doing overcast? can you clarify on that, thanks

What do you mean? I buffed all heals. Normal cast is just single target. Vanilla is weaker, more expensive and just heals 4.

Maybe. But this mod shouldn't crash your game. You could try to use the disable all mods button after clicking play and try gain. Sometimes unsubbed mods are active in the background that are not even in the list causing problems.

I like what you've done here, thank you for sharing. Could you tell me of an easy way to shorten the cast times for all spells? There was a mod called, "I fixed magic" made for TW2 which did this and I would love to have that option again.

It would work like that. Removing all the ticks would remove all the spells from transformations.
SO be sure to keep the spells checked they can normally use.
But no, it can't break anything.
You also could just not use the spells, because you have to do it again every time I update the mod..:sparklepro:

Ah nvm, didn't know that that was an intended feature! Sorry about that. I edited it for myself to revert that change and it *seems* to have worked?
For anyone else all you need to do was revert the column "be coppied to transformation" checkmarks in the unit_special_abilities_table of each spell for yin/yang/heavens/life/metal(/deep if you have yin yin) to their base game states. Though I also only half know what I am doing when it comes to modding soooo I can't 100% confirm this wont break something else!

Hi so I think there's a bug with Miao Ying (potentially the other dragon children as well) where this mod causes them to still be able to cast ALL their spells in dragon form, not just the single one they are supposed to be able to cast (i.e Talons of Night for Miao)
