Some factions that are isolated until late game need improvement. Otherwise they are worthless and unplayable. In addition, it might be better if the relationships between factions are the same as those in the original game. Please make some changes. Please. Please. Please.

Really cool! I hope there will be more unique features that can be found in the game Freelancer, including the trade lanes and jumpgates? I mean we can make the jumpgate technology, among others, available as early as possible? In other words, establish a totally separate Freelancer tech tree. Also, is it possible to achieve the original diplomatic relationships in stellaris? Because the complexity of relations among each house is another element in Freelancer I love very much. I notice that every house is too aggressive and very soon one of them is destroyed.

I know this was last updated some months ago, but I wanted to thank you, AlexandrianCodex, for making this mod.
I enjoyed Freelancer in my youth, and having the chance to play in the same universe where I spent many hours many years ago was quite fun. I had some issues with non-canon species spawning around New York in asteroids, but after removing them with console commands, it was a lovely experience.
I also experienced some crashing around the year 2400, but for something that just one person developed, I am very impressed.

Just want to point out that there are only 26 prescripted nations. The hard set of 28 in the game settings causes 2 random empires to spawn.

Appreciate you bringing this into Stellaris. Freelancer brings back so great memories for me especially with Discovery. Question - I played as Rheinland and was maybe 100 years into it before I could really expand into other systems, there no was Liberty or Bretonia though? Is that intended?

It crashed for me around 2400, i was in late game but still no hyperlanes to big empires ( i played as Bretonia), gameplay feel sluggish currently, there is not much to do

I've not run into that issue! But I think it was introduced by a Stellaris update since June, and has been fixed.

The mod should only spawn Freelancer factions, and no others.
If you're having others spawn, make sure that any custom empires are not set to forced spawning. (This may have also been an issue introduced with an update since June. I /think/ that I fixed it.)

One question though? Is there a way to only have humans and nomad?
I get a lot of other xenos, usually starting in an asteroid (which breaks them as they can't expand but I cannot properly conquer them). And if I select 14-28 races, I usually miss a lot of the humans, more xenos randomly.

Man I love that you did this, I am a huge Freelancer fan and I use to play it with Crossfire and even learnt how to mod the hell out of Crossfire. Over the course of 3 years I learnt to add stuff from Nightstalkers Universe Mod for all the fun famous Sci Fi factions.

Was making a Freelancer map with Retalyx's map maker... did around 30 systems then gave it up (time issues).

@AlexandrianCodex dev this mod of your have a huge future to new game play of stellaris thats true because im a big fan of freelancer ! i know the freelancer how big huge the galaxy of freelancer the omega 13 omega 44 the nomad nest and many more the outcast the blood rider and many more if you success on this mod or expand this mod of your, i think this is a new mod or 1st successful mod freelancer in stellaris history. freelancer is awesome game.
perfect in the stellaris game but i think lot of work to do but im waiting on it dev more power and more update :steamthumbsup::steamthis:

1. I love this idea, but Stellaris has a lot of events and mechanics that rely a lot on the 2200 start date.
Ex: the hyperlane-spawning events that I use depend on the game counting from 2200.

2. I'm hoping to! I'm working to decide how to best model various factions - and without crowding the map too much.
(Ex: Should the Junkers work like the Racket caravaneers - or more like a Salvager enclave? And then what system/s should they be in? etc)

3. Maybe! I certainly like the idea. I've done this a little when it comes to AI personalities - but I've got a lot to learn when it comes to the AI's behaviors.

4. Only if I make the systems extremely big (Systems are currently 200 units large, and would need to be 600+ - which the game gets buggy with), and only if the station is spawned in far from system entrances or deposits.
It actually used to be much easier to do this when the AI was worse at handling pirates!

This is the most fantastic mod I've ever seen. I'm also a big fan of freelancer and Discovery Freelancer. I've got a couple of ideas but I don't know if they can be achieved.

1. Use the Sirius calendar. If the player uses Gallia, then it would be A.G.S and A.S.
2. Add more factions, like corporations and criminal factions. Gateway and DSE can be made as megacorps.
3. Make the relationships between countries more complex and closer to the one in Freelancer.
4. If you increase the size of each system, will there be enough space for liberty rogues or Bunds to build their hideouts?

In this mod, the black hole Razgriz Abyss is in the Omicron Phi system.
(In Discovery it was moved from Omega-13 to Omicron Phi.)

If you guys didnt know, freelancer is still going. Its not what it once was, but I couldnt recommend Freelancer Discovery more. The main server is hard RP tho, gotta read da rules.

Epic Mod, tried to make a Stellaris Freelancer shipset but didn't get far as I couldn't get the models to be compatible. Hope someone else has better luck than I.
