Hello, I would like to port this mod on other maps. Can you tell what are the important parameters that should be applied to other maps ? Because that would save me a lot of time. Thx.

If I find time to update the mod I will remove/improve film grain to have it unnoticable along with other lighting improvements.used in my other mod

the mod is perfect for the day, but the night with a full moon is not so cool, as it is very very bright, could you make a version with the vanilla night? Or if you can tell me which one to change?
The skyboxes seem very faint in clearer weather. It would be nice if they didn't only appear at overcast, where they can't really be looked at anyway

Maybe have the skyboxes be much more visible at about +20% overcast

will this decrease performance when playing singleplayer? or is it a simple change with the normal ARMA lighting like making nights darker and sunrise happen at 7 AM instead of 5 AM

@Stolt. I'm not sure, but I run mine on Server&Client so that everything this mod does is synced and appears the same to all clients.Previously when I ran a different weather related mod (Sullen Skies) as clientside only, people had wildly different daytime/nighttime start/end times. Again though, I dont really know.

I appreciate and benefit from all the free excellent work that modmakers do, but I wish the Arma 3 workshop had a field that forced them to indicate if their mod was server side, client side, or both. It would save so much headache for the user, and the modmakers wouldnt have to waste time answering the inevitable barrage of "IS THIS CLIENTSIDE?!?!?" comments (no hate, I've been that guy xD)

Only on some, it depends on how the map config was done by map creator.

- Detailed sun, moon and ambient illumination of terrain depending on the weather and time of day.
- Sun and Moon illumination changes depending on weither clouds cover sun/moon or not.
- Brighter nights. Adjustable via moon phase and fog density.

amazing mod, but the nights need to be fixed. I won't explain as a lot of people have already done so. Like others, to me it's also a dealbreaker and sadly I aswell have to look for an alternative.

Stunning mod, literally. But yeah, I have a similar issue. I don't care about nights being too bright (they only are when there is a lot of moonlight which is somewhat realistic, or at least as unrealistic as vanilla's pitch-black full moon nights). What really pains me though is that the sky turns out to be grey and not black (which it isn't IRL even on a full moon night) and so it occasionally happens that it completely swallows the stars which is a dealbreaker for me.

Same feedback as others. Daytime and early dusk its a beautiful mod.. but it completely makes night vision goggles or flashlights/headlights unnecessary which, to me, makes it not an option

Would be awesome to have a CBA setting to change night brightness, great mod but no point in using if there's no point in using NVGs. Hope you consider it :KSmiley:

@ Blind i live in greece and when we have fullmoon without clouds blocking it, i can go to the beach without any lightsource and see everything.

Hi Question, i am using this mod on the server, and when i load the Mission on the Server, i got like 60km/h Wind, nobody can hear stuff, when i wanna change the wind with "Change Weather" module, its doing nothing, when i start the mission at Local Mulitplayer that is no wind.!??

I would also strongly suggest to try nighttime fog, it tuned in a way to make nights darker. I explained earlier why nights are made this way:
"This mod was developed with attention to non-NVG gameplay, because Arma pitch black nights are not realistic either. Arma lighting tech is very outdated and there is no perfect spot for everyone to enjoy."

Then again, if you don't like the daytime nights, you can always disable the mod in night scenarios and enable in day ones.

Personally, the "brighter nights" ruin this. They are FAR too bright. In fact nights are just a "dull daytime". Voids the need for any NVGs, flares, flashlights or any other illumination sources. Ruins the tense atmosphere of mods like "Ravage" where the night times are intended to be dangerous and frightening. Makes ArmA 3 join the ranks of 99% of games out there that seem to think night is actually day with a slightly duller palette. Shame as the cloud effects are beautiful.
If this "brighter nights" part of it can be disabled without disabling the rest of it, great, but if not, this gets a "no" from me, sorry.

@Reticuli that is an engine thing, since Arma cannot handle real light sources. so its baked lighting. however A4 and Reforger fix this so the future is looking somewhat brighter.
