This mod seems to have disabled my ability to minify my grav engine. Grav engine doesn't show up in the mod settings either. Anyone else had this issue?

Breaks minifiability and storage for Hunter Traps, and possibly other things, but this was the first one I noticed.

Disabling structures is a good idea, but I think doors should be an exception. Any way to automate enabling doors minification?

For some reason the mod stopped working for me. The ThingDef lists ingame are now empty: https://imgur.com/a/9ibX1L6
If I hit "save settings", the settings.xml gets emptied out - so read/write doesn't seems to be the problem. Any ideas?

@l.lampenoir Yeah I found the issue and posted about it in the Discord. A new release of MinifyEverything caused Smart Minify to start failing. I included a workaround there if you want to fix it manually for now.

I'm not sure why but a recent update doesn't allow for me to minify things like I normally can, e.g. solar panels. There's also no option to white or blacklist things either.

I'm having some issues with the mod. When I enable it in my mod list, it triggers a texture error, which you can see in the logs on lines 2205 and beyond.

ok i played around with the config a bit and toggling off the "ignore already minified things" setting enables the missing items in the list so you can manually re-enable them

This mod seems to disable minifying of items from other mods, even when they are minifyable originally, and does not provide these items as options for manual whitelisting in the config.

The mod isnt letting me minify doormats from another mod. Is there a way to change this? I tried checking the config menu but doormats arent on the list.

The menu is bugged. It won't let me check and uncheck options.

@WarKittyKat - the way i get around that problem is to deny access to those items in storage so they do not get used. i do not remember if it still allows usage on caravans when denied access, but it does allow the construction items to be built separately.

@gRaveyard the problem is I don't want them to deconstruct the minified stuff, I just want them to stop installing it elsewhere. Like for example, if I want my pawns to build a new bedroll, they run to the storage and grab the bedrolls I have reserved for trade caravans instead. Or the ones I have waiting for me to finish mining out a room for a different project.

@Kham you have to uncheck the ignore already minified things setting, for some reason.

that seems more a thing against Minify Everything than this mod.. and well, the storage filter doesn't say minified, it just would say Solar Generator.

Could someone explain what this mod does?
I read the description and comments for what people have said, but the mod does nothing as far as I can see.
I got stuff like Solar generator and other stuff that I have minified, but I cant store them as the stock search/inventory doesnt have "minified Solar generator" so There is never any storage space for those types of buildings.

So I installed this mod, went into the settings and green checked the checkmark on "solar generator", restarted my game, but it dit litteraly nothing.

Still cant store any minified objects that are normally not minifieable ingame, so just a bit unsure for what this mod is for besides maybe changing mass of objects.

Does anybody happen to know what the Reliefs from Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Art show up as in the list for this? I'm not seeing it anywhere and can't minify it so as soon as they finish making it I just get a permeant installation behind the art table. XD

I love the mod to create items in categories in the stock, you can even use the stock search bar. I wish the mod options had a search bar.

If I have this mod it overrides minify everything's setting menu. How do I get my colonists to stop installing already minified things where I place new blueprints?

Is it possible to get the Void Monolith minify-able? I have a separate mod that lets the Monolith from Anomaly get minified, but I think this mod overrides it. I tried to search for it in the settings, but have been unable to locate it.

@Jaxe: I hope you can forgive me! I was glancing at the folder structure while I was busy testing adding new mods to my collection, and I saw the "Legacy" folder which I had not seen used before (makes sense, less clutter) but I knew the game by default would not recognise it so I incorrectly assumed it was put there for archival purpose. I've just seen the LoadFolders.xml file and that even gave me an idea, so much cleaner! My apologies once again, and thanks for the wonderful mod that I was too keen on not wanting to be left behind as I knew I'd be on 1.4 for a while longer! :love:

@Deadmano: Not sure what you mean - I already use LoadFolders.xml to load from my Legacy folder which will load the assemblies and anything else based on the current version the user is running

Heya! When you update this, please do not add 1.4 to your "legacy" folder, you break backwards compatibility with saves on versions people specifically choose to play on (using the beta branches feature Steam offers). Instead please look into https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Modding_Tutorials/Mod_Folder_Structure#LoadFolders.xml_.28Optional.29 which you can use to still have multiple versions of your mod that the game will automatically load based on the game version without any extra effort on your part aside from the folder structure as per the link I shared. If any of it doesn't make sense I'd be happy to assist if you reach out. Thanks again for the mod! :love:

seems i missed that on the description. i was actually looking for "vanilla" behavior when it came to doors. after some tinkering, i figured out that i had to turn off the option to "ignore already minified things." i was then able to find the doors listed under the "disabled by code" list.

still, good mod though.

Would it be possible to add a search function to the mod settings, possibly with search by mod, please. I'm trying to get around SOS2s incompatibility with this mod by disabling everything and it is a nightmare.

Hey would it be possible to add an option to not disable junk and ancient junk by code? One of the big meme mod adds scavenger type of ideology and it kind of requires turning your base into a junk yard.

The rugs specifically stop being minifiable when this is active. Very strange, but remove the mod and they come back to life.

Same issue as Van-d-all.

Also, the description says you can have a custom blacklist but its unclear how I can add a custom item to the list?

I would like to add Bedrolls as an exception due to a conflict with Use Bedrolls and MinifyEverything which breaks your pawns when the bedrolls become minified and I would like to add an exception for this item. Thanks!

There's something wild going on with this mod and texture atlas. "Upscaled Textures Pack" has hifi textures for "Bionic Icons" and using the two works perfectly fine. But adding this mod to the mix, even without any other mods causes lots of exceptions like "Same texture with 2 different masks inserted into texture atlas manager (Archotech) - Shoulder | Eye!".
