I have 3 major things I don't enjoy about the mod other than that everything else is great:
Firstly the enemy spam or broken waves. I don't know if this is a bug or supossed to be like this, but some enemy waves are straight up impossible to not get hit. Reasons being the among of enemies or that (if this is a bug) 2 waves can or mostly get triggered at the same time (If that is what is happening, I think...).
Secondly waves despawning enemies or bosses. For some reason both in the Boss and normal challenge room it is possible that a wave of enemies or a boss depending on the type of challenge room spawns, but after like 1 or 2 ingame seconds, the wave of enemies or the boss just straight up disappears and the next wave spawn in
And lastly the most unfair feature of the mod: Tainted enemies in Normal challenge rooms, encounterable on ANY Floor and Chapter. I am talking about the enemies that you encounter durring the Accent. :isaac:

some times the wave starts but then another one starts right after,so i end up having to fight both waves at the same time,which makes me die,alot,any reasons as to why?

I think another way to make the challenge rooms actually challenging would be to transform the player in a ghost (aka you die with 1 hit, like in the mirror world).
This would also make the item prize balanced.

Maybe for the normal challenge room also give a holy mantle effect.

Is there a mod that only does this?:

The Boss Challenge Room door only counts Red Hearts in determining whether Isaac is allowed to enter. Soul Hearts are ignored

Just letting you guys know that using mod profiler, this mod is shown to be 5x more laggier than da rules (which is crazy). install knowing that you might experience a good deal of lag

I do really enjoy this mod, but i think that if there was just a bit more variety, maybe with some Randomness involved.

I think tainted spitty is just op since it can spawn in basement challenge rooms. Also the fact it does a full heart of dmg makes it impossible if u have base tears

@niro Forgot to mention I figured out the problem, it was a compatibility problem with Enhanced Boss Health Bars, strangely enough. Turned that off and it works fine ever since.

i think in infinite basement its always the same bosses could be a different but i think its this mod that's doing it

@Evil_Tims_curse This is just how the game works I didn't code anything like that.
From wiki:
"If a Secret Room is next to a Challenge Room, it can be entered by using a bomb in the Secret Room on the wall separating the two rooms. However, the entrance to the Secret Room from the Challenge Room closes itself, meaning Isaac cannot escape through the Secret Room entrance.
If Greed or Super Greed spawn in the secret room however, the wall leading to the challenge room will be barred up and cannot be bombed open. The metal bars do not disappear after they are defeated or if the player leaves the room, meaning they can only enter the challenge room the traditional way.
If Isaac bombs into either variation of Challenge Room through a Secret Room and leaves, the bombed entrance will close and must be bombed open again."

Follow up to me previous comment; later on in the same run I was able to bomb into a boss challenge room. The one I couldn't bomb into from earlier was from a secret room containing a Greed fight.

Does this mod not allow you to bomb into challenge rooms?
In my most recent run, a spot that would normally allow me to bomb into there from a secret room was blocked by metal bars.
I don't see anything about this in the description.

If you have that mod, some of the waves are changed to be more balanced.

This mod now crashes whenever it tries to spawn Clutch in the Ashpit. Removing him or fixing this crash would be much appreciated, as other than that one crash it works fine.

The mod is now compatible with Repentance Eternal Edition. The Eternal Arena Challenge Room works as intended, and when you clear it you also get the rewards from this mod.

Like literally all of the waves are perfect it's just that tainted enemies are tanky as fuck in the beginning so putting two together makes it so long.

HUGE UPDATE: Enemies no longer spawn all together in the corner! They are now spawn in a random position in the room but in a safe distance from isaac. This makes the waves more fun and challenging.

@Kotry Look at my code from line 1175 until the end and try to do the same. You basically need to use Isaac.SaveModData() on game exit and then use Isaac.LoadModData() on game reload.

I have the same problem but Standing Cirno Fumo's solution didn't work for me :/
I'm using other mods, yeah but the the mod worked for me before the Mod Config Menu update.
