Understandable, and I admit that I might had been a bit too passive aggressive with my previous comment. Still it is impossible for me to test compatibility with everything out there so I typically only really bother running my own test games with the mods that I normally use in my sessions, Real Space isn't one of them. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the report on the compatibility issue and if others end up having the same problem I can let them know.

I mean. It only crashes when i use your mod and that mod together. they both work by themselves and seemingly shouldn't effect each other. So i am not sure why they do. You got some dope mods and I am glad you test them thoroughly. The passive aggressive attitude is not called for though. I just wanted to let you know that removing your mod fixed the crashing. So it was partially your mod. However removing theirs also fixed it so i chose your mod over theirs. While I understand your frustration getting reports that may be false or incorrect it is still better than not getting reports at all in the event it is yours. I was just doing my due diligence as a member of the community and would appreciate less antagonism from mod authors for reporting possible bugs. All it ever does it make me just not want to report bugs anymore and use your mods..

Well, perhaps you should ask them about it then. I very much have my doubts that my own mods, which have been thoroughly tested, are the ones responsible for game crashes. Whenever someone complains about this its ALWAYS somebody else's mod.

this is the mod causing crashes. IDK why it only crashes when i use this mod authors mods though. As far as i can tell they shouldn't effect each other.

so i disabled all mods but this one and the weapons and it worked. seems to be a compatibility issue with this mod and another. i have my suspicion. ill link which mod this one does not play nice with when i find it

thats what i figured. So for whatever reason they do not work for me. Im going to try switch to the nsc3 ones and get nsc3 to see if those work. you never know.

The hot fixes shouldn't affect the shipsets. These shipset mods are all at 4.0.x, meaning that they are up to date. Make sure the species mods are up to date to be 4.0.x. 4.0.x mean any of the 4.0 hot fixes.

also i test it in a universe with no ai (minus the 2 random marauders) in order to limit the issue being other species

tried a custom one using some other star wars mod species. then eventaully worked my way down to vanilla custom species with all vanilla specs with the exception of the ship types. And when using modded species switched to other ship types worked for them. the only thing that may be related is im running the latest build which is 4.16 or something. Altho it doesnt flag this mod as being out of date so I am unsure

crashed on readding the ship models without the weapons.

When using a species with your ships the game crashes. the error logs show there are duplicates conflicting with each other. specifically your weapons and ship parts. are those bakes into the ship packs as well? should i not use the ship packs with the weapons pack? Ill keep messing around to narrow down the issue

Hello, I have a strange bug where the battleship have the skin of an imperial cruiser with red strip on it during the game, but on the preview the good moodel is shown... Otherwise the ships in general looks really great !

@Superior General Nvm just discovered Real Space won't be compatible with Gigastructures and I assume the same can be said of the other scaling mod so that puts that mystery in the bin XD

Hi Superior General, really looking forward to a Grand Army of the Republic campaign with your excellent mod!

Also wanted to make you aware, that the mod Star Wars Weapons and Components that you recommend then points to Real Space (Systems in Scaling) as a recommended mod via compatibility patches for that and the Funnel's Additions. Since Fleet Formations V2 and Real Space both tweak system scaling and they both say they are incompatible with each other, would you be able to clarify which one you would recommend most for this mod? Is one more stable over the other, or is it just a matter of me deciding my preference on these two mods' features?

For those having issues with custom AI Empires using these ship sets not spawning in your games, even with the 'always spawn' option set, I figured out the issue. For whatever reason, the "Random Unary I" starting system option prevents them from spawning. Simply change this back to "Random" and they will show up. I'm not sure if any other starting system type also affects this, but I've had success with it just being 'Random'. I'm re-posting this on all of these Star Wars ship set pages since I've seen others with this issue. (Note that I had no other mods on except these ship sets).

So what you are telling me is that you cannot pick the Republic Ships when creating an empire as in it isn't showing up? If this is the case then this isn't something on my end as it works quite fine for me.

If you are just using the models here as inspiration then I am sure that is fine. If you plan on directly using any of the models or textures then you are going to have to give proper credits (see the Full list of Credits for more details). Some of the sources of these models come from authors that are more strict than others as to how their models are used so please be aware of that.

@Superior General Delvardus, I am admittedly quite new to modding GFX assets, but I'd like to try my hand at making a Republic/Imperial esque shipset that still mirrors the design elements of the shipsets of the game itself, and could be seen as something like a "light" version of Star Wars imagery. A clear inspiration on the classic imperial triangular design, but with unique elements.

I was wondering if you'd be willing to allow me to use aspects of your mod either as a base or as reference in this potential project of mine? Should I actually make the mod you would get credit. Of course if you have a similar project planned or something else of the like I won't bother, etc. etc.

do you have any recommendations of the ship designer templates for each ship? example shoould i equip another hanger on the front of the venator or a broadside?

The funny thing here is that I actually already have several of my own concepts in mind on what an "all-battleship" Venator could look line and in addition to that there are also some preexisting concepts of republic battleships that also exist and some also have models such as the Maelstrom or Justice class warships. If I had any reason to add those I would but as of right now I don't really feel like it is necessary at the moment.

Also one more thing regarding the ISD1 quoted from Wookiepedia (though this is part of Legends continuity) "The Imperator-class was designed as a massive, powerful, mid-sized warship, and appeared in limited numbers during the Clone Wars, where it served in several Republic task forces." It did see limited service during the Clone Wars.

Agreed about the italics, I wish steam had more formatting options that are not so complicated to use. As for the models themselves, as of right now I can only add what I am able to get my hand on and while there are always better models available usually their authors are quite strict on who can use them. I am however, rapidly learning how to 3D model and texture stuff myself so perhaps soon enough I could clean these up a bit.

Are you perhaps referring to the ability to change to switch from the republic to the empire sets after executing order 66 and becoming the senate bringing peace and justice to the galaxy? If so, the Change Shipset mod should do that fine already and I know my sets are already compatible with it.

If this is more-so just a megapack with all the shipsets combined, then the answer is more no-to-maybe, the reason for this is because such a mod would be 5 more or gigabytes in size and I really don't like working with mod files of that size that take forever to upload (and download)

Is there a possibility you could combine your the republic and the empire shipsets into a single shipset as a separate mod? Would be really cool for RP reasons, such as the transfer between Republic and Imperial ships.

Maybe, I would have to ask the Empire at War Expanded team directly for permission to use those modes. In addition to that, I am already quite satisfied with the models and lineup of ships that exist in this shipset for right now so I don't really feel the need to go out asking for updated models at the moment.

I know you utilized alot of "Republic at War" assets to make this mod but would you ever consider using "Fall of the Republic" models. I ask only as they have a little bit more polish and variety as the mod has been updated more recently.

I honestly don't know unfortunately. All the Star Wars weapons packs that I know of are either out of date or completely override the vanilla weapons (and even those are mostly outdated as well). There is a chance that I could have a look at making my own weapons pack but that depends on how much time I have to do modding which is a bit limited at the moment.

What good vanilla star wars like weapon pack (thats ofc vanilla friendly, and also dosent affect everyone to where they're all using it except if you choose it for yourself while everyone sticks with vanilla weapons.) would go for this shipset?

The reason I moved everything into a single list is because everything that is there are sets that I want to do though there is no guarantee that any of those are actually going to happen, it is just a potential roadmap for the future for me to follow.

For planned fractions like the Royal Naboo that don't necessarily have a wide variety of preexisting designs for military ships (I know they have star fighters and sleek looking yachts and such) I do intend on the "Fannon" route.

To answer the question on whether I intend to do sets for the Galactic Alliance or Fel Empire, the answer is no. This is because the Legacy era is the one time period of Star Wars history that I know nothing about and in addition to that force 728 already has decent sets for those factions.

I saw in collection page you move changed all the maybe shipsets to planned, but do those minor factions have enough ship design to make a full shipset, especially the Royal Naboo since they only has a single unarmed yacht in both canon and legend. Or distinguish them from the other, like the Trade Federation and the Separatists? Also any chance for shipsets of Galactic Alliance shipset and Fel Empire?
