Greetings! Is this mod going to be updated anytime soon, or its abandoned? I'm trying to cleanup my mod list from abandoned mods and I haven't seen any update here last 2 years

I would be interested in trying to fix it or maybe update it, but I am no 100% certain how the mod work and which steps it takes, would you be willing to get into contact and explain it a bit? Then I could see whether I can find some of the incompatibility and potentially fix it.

yeah it is broken for 1.35, for some reason it makes it so the ottomans dont get their "rise of the ottomans" thing which breaks the decadence mechanic

There is a bug, the decision to update monument effects, you are only calling `check_subject_monuments = yes` but not `check_gme_subject_monuments = yes`. If you add that line then the Monuments Expanded mod will work as well.

Does not work with Anbennar due to startup issues, as mentioned by Sohex. It automatically turns on Mythic Conquerors, lol.

This mod is not compatible with Victorum Universalis. Other Monument mods are not incompatible, but their effects will not be granted to overlords. This mod is currently probably not up to date on compatability, as I am busy with other projects.
The exact list of intended compatability is in the mod description, and if a mod isn't listed there, then it is likely either incompatible, or the monuments added by said mod will simply not function with this feature.

Third Odyssey compatability should be possible, although currently I'm rather preoccupied with figuring out Victoria 3 modding, so I'll have to see when I can implement the update here :)

Found a bug. With this mod on you cannot become shogun as a daimyo. The Fall of Kyoto event does not proc and you become a normal duchy instead of shogun.

For those who play Anbennar: this mod works with it, yes, but as was already stated, some events will not fire with this mod active; in addition, you will not get the effects of your racial administration and military (so no extra admin efficiency for the tiger people, no discipline bonus and manpower recovery malus for the elves, etc). I'd recommend not using those two mods in conjunction

Compatability with warcraft universalis and extended timeline especially is currently not planned, both due to lack of personal interest in them as well as extended timeline being hard to make things compatible with in a clean manner

Alright, I finally found the issue with the start events some people were experiencing! It turns out that it was not working properly due to the start events for Ante Bellum firing instead, since for some reason Paradox decided to make the check whether a certain country exists (which is what I use to determine whether certain mods are running) return true if the tag is invalid!

I'm using a python script for this mod as well, I intentionally left out the need for a subject to fulfill the requirements for now since I planned on implementing a system that needs either the subject *or* the overlord to fulfill the conditions. I already know how I'll do it, just been in a slump lately which is also why this mod hasn't been expanded further by much

I made a mod which only give buffs for overlords only when the subject fits the conditions. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869593702 I implemented this by writing a python script reading and parsing monument files to extract the conditions. Maybe this is helpful for you to make the overlords only get the effects if either they or their subject fulfill the requirements.

It's not very easy to check if the overlords fit the conditions because paradox Clauswitz EU4 is lack of some equivalent codes for triggers like "has_owner_culture" and "has_owner_accepted_culture" for owner's overlords. Since EU4 has terrible variable system it's hard to check this without side effects (extra events/flags/variables).

Some opening events may be affected due to them being fired with the on_startup action, which does not stack between mods and will be overwritten by any mod that also touches it, but does not specify dependencies (like how this mod is made to always load AFTER anbennar and such, so that my mod overwrites them and not the other way around).

This makes it so that if you have other mods that touch said on_startup, which are not made to be compatible with my mod, it will break things. I sadly cannot fix those without manually making every mod compatible upon request, which is simply not something feasible since each additional compatible mod increases the effort to maintain the mod.

A similar bug occurs when using Anbennar's Chinese supplemental pack. The hidden events that were not written but did start all disappeared. The only solution is to start the archive and then enable mod to re-enter the saved archive.

Anbennar's opening hidden events are disabled, including Serpentspine's Dwarovar Claimer buff, As well as Expedition Target in beta (Anbennar-Publicfork), gems in Dwarovkron, opening monarch buff in Tag Y91, and other plot buffs or country buffs that depend on opening hidden events.

could it somehow be interacting with another mod to cause it to happen? is that even possible? it seems there is a bug going around with events pertaining to gotland so maybe something to do with that as well.

That can't be an issue caused by this mod, as it does not touch any events. I checked the files that I do touch, and none of them have any references to gotland. So the issue must probably come from another mod that you are using. Just to be safe though, I doublechecked the contents and made sure all vanilla code is still being executed as intended before my mods code takes place.

'Duran Blueshield' is a country in the dwarf mountain

This should work on 1.33 for the most part for now, since on_actions did not change much, but monastic breweries might not work after I update that part!
Also, I do not play Anbennar and do not know what Blueshields are, so please provide more details so I can look into it!

I dont know why but when I activate this mod with anbennar my duran blueshields army cap is going down 19 to 7 units only.
