This is extremely useful for colonists.
Imprison, convert, release, they go back to your colony automatically. Great way to get everyone on the same ideology.
Doing it manually, you forget and leave them imprisoned for decades.

Absolutely a game changer, and one of my favorite mods, but sadly it has a fatal flaw making it extremely tedious to use. I detail it a bit more in the comments of the mod itself, but essentially it jumbles up the order of jobs in categories, making colonists not do things in the order you'd expect.

The mod creator hasn't been active in some time, and has left the repo for anyone willing to fix it.

@xxxJohnGamerxxx when you convert a pawn and then release them, they can sometimes spawn in raids, caravans etc with their new ideology and any preferred apparel it has, so if you have a blindsight ideology, you can convert raiders to it, release them, and when they attack again, the converted raiders will spawn with a blindfold if you have it as preferred apparel

If the pawn is already a member of the colony, you can arrest, convert, and then release them. They should auto-rejoin the colony upon release, saving you from the hassle of recruiting again. That's likely why this was requested.

Does this actually do something gameplay wise? Like is it possible to spread your faith and infect other factions with this?

@Mlie I tend to reduce both will and resistance of prisoners before converting to squeeze all the social exp I can get from hem, it tends to be 1 or 2 talks most of the time though, so it's really not a particularly important feature, just my minmaxing self asking

Reducing will is for enslaving, not for recruiting. Could be useful if you want to convert prisoners before enslaving them.

I mean, there could do with being a mod that increases the efficacy of conversion and the opinion bonus from pawns with lower or no will

@Mlie It's not. Only reason to reduce will is to recruit, which is already covered by Convert->Recruit.

would it be possible to add an option to also reduce the will before converting?
