Hey man, just wanted to let you know the unit does not have proper faction color mask for it. The unit in every faction has the same red and white feathers and exposed clothing, resulting in identical Dismounted Reiksguard Knights for both sides.

nice job however there is a mass problem with the units, the mass is too high can you change that?

The mass of this unit seems bugged while in combat certain attacks send people flying it looks very odd mid battle.

Hi thanks for your great mods, sorry to tell you that the Reiks forts are only available for the Karl Franz campaign. In the campaigns of Volkmar, Balthasar and Markus the Reiks forts cannot be built and therefore we cannot enjoy their mods nor the original cavalry of the Reiks guards.

seems to be a bug with the unit mass when engaged in combat warriors start flying on both sides getting knocked down as if charged by ogres.

Great to see this mod (and the other variants) back, i can barely play empire without these, as halberdiers just won't do by themselves as a line holder when you are dealing with chosen or chaos warriors. Keep up the good work, and yeah, looking forward to the eventual fix for the talents and skills.

Good to hear. It just seems like right now they only bonuses they get are the 3 infantry generic technologies, and Karl Franz's unique Imperial Special Forces skill.

I tested all the other state troops skills and they didn't seem to apply. So if you did set some of them to apply, they don't seem to be working.

Looking forward to your future updates, your Reiksguard mods really help the empire stand up to late game opposition troops.

Hey Ivan_Moskvich, I do plan look into it. To finish the initial mod port faster and make them playable earlier I did assign them to some pre made "unit sets" from other units so that they should theoretically get similar benefits. In the past games i did end up manually assigning each single bonus effect that made sense to make sure it works as intended. This involved quite a lot of searching through the game files to find the correct keys for each effect. I intend to repeat this for Warhammer 3 as an update after porting over all the units.

A little bit of inconsistency in how the skills are applied to them seems to be in effect.

When recruited to Karl Franz's army, they get the benefit Imperial Special Forces, but they don't benefit from any other skill specifically mentioning Reiksguard such as Taste for Battle.

They also don't gain any bonuses from skills like the description of the mod states, none of the State Troop skills apply to them either.

The tech for infantry in general applies to them at least.


Would you consider changing it so just the specific Reiksguard techs apply to them?

I didn't find the time to properly play Warhammer 3 so far, thus the balancing might still be a bit rough but I wanted to port them over and make them playable as soon as possible. They should be fully functional but based on feedback i will further adjust their balancing.
