it was funny the first time when we went in. Eventualy we just opted to weld the ship door and blw the reactor. They are seriously powerfull, getting back up all the time and with the rockets and exploding chest rigs lol

@PBL not just you, in our campaign of 20 people we lost half the crew.

They are hard not because the clowns have any resistances but because those clowns have the same talents the player clown can get :)

It was designed to work for both vanilla and modded games and due to the implosion chance it effectively power checks even the most immortal mod builds.

Personally, they can be cheesed by destroying and flooding the station if your having trouble :)

Its a good way to humble crew members that think they can solo anything.

i wonder if all the clown modders should come together to make one gigantic clown modpack, i'd be down (especially since i want to make an enhanced armaments rework for the clown faction)

a few important things:
1) talents need buffs, most of them are pretty underwhelming, need more META stuff (speed up skills, honks heal/fix stuff, clownosis/psychosis affliction and buffs)
2) neurotrauma support - currently it messes up clownosis, meth/steroid buffs, and renders "The beating will continue" and "Humour Foundation" talents useless
3) "master class act" talent is really bad, needs rework, maybe straight up take the talent from assistant tree that gives a random talent tree fron another class
4) we need more clown melees, current ones are very weak. probably also need one-handed clown melees and generally more combat power

@жирный грех ahh yes, its an interesting issue. I can't actually fix it as it's an issue with the game engine and setting a value to empty breaking a function, in this case the one that opens a UI remotely.

I would like to be silly and say it's a part of the clowns meta-physics but in all honesty i dont know how to prevent the crashing, ill do some more testing and see if i can do some sort of fail safe when its blank :)

The PDA has a “small” problem, when you pick it up and then change it to something else (or open the door and any other action that closes the window) without entering the ID, when you change back to the PDA you crash

sorry I meant husk grenades, I'm not entirely sure what mod they were from but I assumed bc of "Some particularly naughty Clowns have learned how to aerosolize husk eggs into grenade form..." that it would be in this mod

@sh4rkimoo I just loaded up Clown-O-Trauma and i cant reproduce your issue, I was able to place the grenades in the sub editor and even spawn them with "spawnitem".

Are you running with other mods? :)

The clown grenades won't spawn in either the sub menu or the livelanr sandbox menu which can spawn things that are supposed to be hidden but it won't show up, what's the id for it? could be bc of the new update but idk

@Jorker of Peanits I just tested that talent on my end in a multiplayer server and it seemed to work, are you running any other mods?

I was able to take the talent and get refunded my experience points when i created a new engineer from clown.

Am I doing something wrong? I levelled the reincarnation talent and created a new character, but now I'm stuck in the hydrothermal wastes as an engineer with no talents :/

@Wrench that was a more interesting question to find an answer to than i'd like, but in short the clown doesnt actually have a fixed id due to a bug in the game engine,

Whatever spawn point they spawn on they get the id of that spawn, so in the case of them re-spawning on a security re-spawn point they get all the id's security gets lol.

If you want a consistent tag to use for item access use "jobid:clownotrauma_clown". That will work while i figure out what exactly is going on with their respawns.

One other note, the game does have a crash log that you can access to see what the issue is. :)

There are 4 upgrades to that suit btw :)

Also did the crashing resolve? I was aware of the husk costume being an issue but I can't think of anything that would crash your friends game in Clown-O-Trauma.

If it's still an issue feel free to upload a save to google drive and ill take a look. :)

I believe the clown exosuit crashed my friend and made the save unuseable, he got errors from it (and also the husk costume, its body and legs was invisible and only the head was visible) And his game crashed. he dosent remember the error soo

If you want to spawn one its also clownotrauma_clown. :)

Honestly there now is so much clown content in vanilla game I think its safe to move the modded clown content to the circus it does make sense now in the look of Basic clown content (vanilla) = fabricator and advanced clown content (your mod) uses the circus as its fabricator anyone running this mod should have placeable things turned on in server settings anyway (if you cant ship edit mid run then your not clowning properly lets be honest here)

@Maxnqy I can add it and I think it's a good idea personally. The last time I did it however I had a Russian fellow tell me it was a bad idea to have the clown items exclusively craftable in the Circus and requested they also be craftable in the fabricator.

I've been trying to think of a solution to keep both parties happy and failing that what gives the player the most creative freedom.
