Does not use custom animations, should not need an update. Safe to use post 4.X patches :)

Another one: Ogre Bulls (Javelins) are missing all typical Ogre infantry attributes (Ogre Charge, Wallbreaker, Hide Forest and Causes Fear) because the Attribute Group in land_units_tables is incorrect and needs to be wh3_main_ogr_inf_ogres_0.

Found an issue: the Ogre Bulls (Ogre Pistols) don't require anything in meat upkeep. High chance that the Javelin variant doesn't either.

@infantry11bravo11 in my games the ogres only field them in a 50/50 ratio with melee units
But if you find ranged units in general feel too strong and melee damage dealers too weak, you might want this mod in addition

well that completely ruins it because now you get overwhelmed with more dps missiles than normal. like its stupid how fast the ai can take your lords and heros out. along with being out-recruited and the level of micromanaging its not in any way fun. just another way to give the ai a way to outperform you ranged wise even faster.

Ive noticed the AI has a strong preference for any armour piercing ranged units
Even though I ran tons of calculations to ensure they were propperly balanced

In other words, its perfectly balanced

I am genuinely surprised this was never an official thing. Same with Saurus. Like having one that carries Javelins.
