Congratulations on attaining the ultimate honor! When Ludeon incorporates your Mod, you KNOW you made it!

Good idea. Done.
Rogue Banana 20 Feb, 2023 @ 9:22am
Can you update the description or title to say this is no longer needed? Will be easier for those who don't read the comments.
Hermann 7 Jan, 2023 @ 4:53am
lmao this man is legend
finalshdw 18 Dec, 2022 @ 9:41pm
No this being vanilla now means that the author did an absolutely stellar job and made the PERFECT argument, they don't often change this stuff so quickly. You are a legend, keep creating.
UntouchedWagons 3 Dec, 2022 @ 3:03pm
Oh. The cleansweeper is tier 1 now, I didn't even realize lmao
UntouchedWagons 3 Dec, 2022 @ 2:55pm
I'm getting an error in the log after adding this mod:

>Verse.PatchOperationRemove(xpath="/Defs/RecipeDef[defName="Cleansweeper"]/ingredients"): Failed to find a node with the given xpath
Avarice 9 Nov, 2022 @ 5:20pm
the patch showed up in my steam news section. Found they shifted it down a tier, I was about to try making this exact mod (at least attempt to using rimsqol, so no. just the kinda same functionality... that I would have to repeat whenever I purged my settings) when it came up.

if the devs change their mind in the future I'll come knocking that's for sure!... well subscribing anyway.
OMGSplat  [author] 8 Nov, 2022 @ 10:01pm
I haven't found anything recently that I wanted to change that someone else hasn't already made a mod for. I'm keeping an eye out though.
Mildred 8 Nov, 2022 @ 9:46pm
You did a great job, excited to see what you work on next. I hope this being in vanilla now doesn't discourage you from creating.
Yosemite_Sam 4 Nov, 2022 @ 5:51pm
Thank You for making this mod! I can't help but think that the popularity of this mod and others like it lead to the devs making it vanilla. I hope you keep making great mods like this one!
Leetgrain 31 Oct, 2022 @ 9:03pm
Thank you for this, glad it became a vanilla thing!
OMGSplat  [author] 31 Oct, 2022 @ 8:25pm
I can't find anything about a patch but it looks like you are correct.

I checked and it looks like running this will give you an error in the log but not break the recipe so i'll leave it hanging around in case the devs change their mind again in future.

Cleansweepers are tier 1 in the base game now.
Scout Gaming 31 Oct, 2022 @ 11:21am
remove this mod NOW because it is now vanilla :captainsmooth:
Komissar Rudinov 31 Oct, 2022 @ 3:47am
Nice, thanks!
OMGSplat  [author] 30 Oct, 2022 @ 12:43pm
@Komissar Rudinov
I made these to figure out how it was done:

Constructoid Mech Tier 2

Militor Mech Tier 2

> Filth is a large issue
lmao cool story bro @Exodus

Great mod, this didn't make sense to me either.
Think you could make one to move the militor and constructoid to tier 2?
SaltyRocksPew 29 Oct, 2022 @ 11:52pm
It is insane to me that the mechanoid roomba is tier 2 but the construction robot is tier 1. I feel like construction is a bit more complicated than a job a literal roomba can do.

The beauty of mods is if you don't like them, you don't have to install them.
And if you think something could be better or different, chances are there's a mod to make it so.
Even the base game comes with plentiful options for making the game easier, harder, less or more tedious.
You do you!
Serina 29 Oct, 2022 @ 9:24am
@Sir_Buggles kek, every time something like this comes up, somebody drops in with "No, actually the <boring, tedious> parts are what make the game fun" and also "<parts you actually enjoy> aren't the focus of the game!"
Serina 29 Oct, 2022 @ 9:20am
@TheGungeonologist eh, idk, making a robot that can move around just to operate a static workstation feels wrong, would rather have the automation parts built onto workstation itself.
Shard 29 Oct, 2022 @ 3:28am
My problem is with "realistic" most of all. We sure can't make robots that grow and harvest any type of food, or build complex machinery without first being specially designed for a single type. Nor can we make a robot that can properly tell the difference between hostile and non-hostile. But we've had robot cleaners for quite a while now. If anything, the cleaner should realistically be a 'tier 0' that doesn't even need a controller.
Exodus永 29 Oct, 2022 @ 1:02am
i think a tier 2 is completely realistic and balanced. The game adds content so you can enjoy it more, not to make it easier. Filth is a large issue. If you can build it T1, you are making the game substantially easier. If that's what you enjoy, then don't let anyone tell you different. But I think is definitely balance(as op suggested). This post is for masochist like me who like to suffer.
RegretFullChief 28 Oct, 2022 @ 6:24am
The reason they're tier 2 is because they also do your taxes in secret.
Kirino 28 Oct, 2022 @ 5:55am
to be fair, even some Humans with a Brain struggle to get cleaning done :winter2019joyfultearsdog:
Soraya 27 Oct, 2022 @ 4:08pm
have you ever tried cleaning? I have a full human brain [citation needed] and I struggle to do it!

that aside though they really should be level 1... thanks for this!
OMGSplat  [author] 26 Oct, 2022 @ 8:38pm
@TheGungeonologist & @Gekonius I tried to find what was needed to allow the mining mech to use the deep drill but was unsuccessful in making it work. There is a mech disallowed tag on the deepdrill but even after removing that, the mining mech would go to the deepdrill, but not use it.

Must be more happening behind the scenes that I don't know about there. The mining mech does seem to work with other alternate mining method mods though, so that's something.
OMGSplat  [author] 26 Oct, 2022 @ 9:25am
Yes, safe to add and remove mid game.
Moonshine Fox 26 Oct, 2022 @ 5:27am
Can this be added mid save as far as known?
Arky 25 Oct, 2022 @ 4:10am
Maybe they can clean toxic waste? That's why? I don't know.
Sir Buggles 25 Oct, 2022 @ 4:08am
This seems like common sense, vanilla seems set up like that for no other reason but to piss you off and force your mechanitor character to either waste time or be miserable until you can beat the first "boss"
Choppa 25 Oct, 2022 @ 2:18am
thank you for this god damn
Gekonius 24 Oct, 2022 @ 11:29pm
@TheGungeonologist "making tunnelers able to handle a deep drill" +1. i specifically build 3 tunnelers to operate my deepdrills just to notice that they cant
TheGungeonologist 24 Oct, 2022 @ 9:18pm
heres an idea for a new mod: making tunnelers able to handle a deep drill since im pretty sure none of the mechs can
Shard 24 Oct, 2022 @ 8:47pm
Makes sense, we have 'cleaner mechs' right now with all the automated vacuums and whatnot, and we are nowhere near even a fraction of the complexity of the human brain. Thanks for the mod.
