It looks like just making sure you forked the original code is all you need to do to fix the licensing issue. I don't think cat2002 needs to completely take over the mod's development if this is the only problem they have with you taking over the mod.

At the very least, remove the sentence in the mod description that says it works well with Death Rattle, because it currently does not.

@cat, please, by all means take it over.
cat2002 10 Feb, 2023 @ 8:19pm
...I literally rewrote 90% of the mod, I wasn't going to go out of my way to support this.
King of Blades 10 Feb, 2023 @ 5:43pm
@cat2002 when it was previously supported and now it no longer works, that's deliberate. It wasn't broken by accident.
cat2002 10 Feb, 2023 @ 1:19pm
Not deliberate, just won't support it.
King of Blades 10 Feb, 2023 @ 12:30pm
FYI, Death Rattle has deliberately broken compatibility with your mod d/t licensing issues on your end.

I have gotten the black box issue as well
Cosmic Downpour 8 Jan, 2023 @ 3:36am
does this prevent pawns from dying of disease?
like, if I have a pawn with too advanced of an illness, like flu or infection, could I use this to keep them alive while they recover?
Garret  [author] 30 Dec, 2022 @ 7:20pm
@Cirdain, not that I've seen but I'll try and duplicate it.
Cirdain 30 Dec, 2022 @ 2:42pm
Anyone else have an issue where the life support gets a black box around it when the screen is facing south?
Cantaloupe The Clown 21 Dec, 2022 @ 12:19pm
oh true, fair enough. thank you for your efforts :needy_heart:
Garret  [author] 20 Dec, 2022 @ 6:22am
Truth!
Pushed an update yesterday. Let me know if it fixes some of the problems you are having.
DarknessLilly 19 Dec, 2022 @ 8:08pm
not to mention we get to help Beta Test it.
Garret  [author] 18 Dec, 2022 @ 9:07pm
Sure, I can take it down, work on it an then post it back up. When I first posted it, it was apparently working just fine. Then Rimworld updated and I started getting the same problem people were getting. Not sure why. There are no errors.
Obviously, with a major release, things are going to break. If someone else fixes all the problems before me, great, otherwise, I'll continue to work on it and get things fixed as soon a possible. If people down vote me because of that, oh well lol.
Cantaloupe The Clown 18 Dec, 2022 @ 2:16pm
idk why you'd post an unfinished fix, that ain't really a fix at all. I think it'd have been better to work on it first and publish it when it actually works, or else you'll get downvotes and people disinterested (not tryin to be rude, tho I might come across that way. hope not)
Garret  [author] 16 Dec, 2022 @ 6:02am
@Cantaloupe, I'm still working through some of the problems. Its looking more like the interaction between the different mods instead of just this one mod.
Cantaloupe The Clown 14 Dec, 2022 @ 11:23pm
does this work yet? :stimulation:
Garret  [author] 11 Dec, 2022 @ 5:43pm
@Arnovitz
I'm honestly finding the same thing as I'm playing through this mod. I'm looking into it. Thank you for reporting.
Arnovitz 11 Dec, 2022 @ 4:21pm
This version and the original mod just flat out don't work for me in 1.4. The death rattle hediffs continue to progress and the pawn dies even though "Life Support" appears in their health tab.
Garret  [author] 9 Dec, 2022 @ 6:45am
Thanks LordXamon. I'll look into it
LordXamon 8 Dec, 2022 @ 8:59am
I found an issue.

A sausophage in life support will start the deathresting countdown to wake, which is fine I guess? Although, I think life support shouldn't be able to do that.

Anyway, when the deathrest ends and the sausophage wakes up, they get out of the bed, but since their health issue wasn't fixed (lack of heart in my case) they get knocked out immediately and slowly die again if no colonist rescue them. They should remain in bed.

I'm using this version of Death Rattle: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2896207870
Emilie Sackenball 29 Nov, 2022 @ 5:43pm
@Fru the original mod the pawn never leaves the bed as far I remember, the only way is he's forced to leave, the power is cut (a solar flare will kill the person unless you use the solarflare shield mod)
Fru 28 Nov, 2022 @ 8:30am
I'm assuming that once a pawn goes into the bed, they won't get out of it by themselves (i.e. you accidently set their bed rest priority to be lower than another task)? Similarly can other pawns remove them from the bed against their will, as in starting a fight or kidnapping them?
cptnoname 27 Nov, 2022 @ 9:31pm
does this actually work properly? the original mod has a comment pointing out some issues with this one...
RojoMuerte 27 Nov, 2022 @ 5:41pm
Like it!
