@BIDUKE Thanks for playing. I'm glad you are enjoying the mod. As of right now I don't have any plans to make the mod use the original Sandtrap lighting. At least in my own lore I have the map taking place after the multiplayer match later in the evening. Maybe one day I can look into it, but not right now.

unpopular opinion but for me this is my fav AI h3 firefight mod , is simple easy to start you CAN use your MP spartan , is perfect , just i need to request if we can have the original lighting of the map , this night ver have some bugs in the the lighting.

Thats’s gonna be a tougher one. There are geometry issues with Sandbox which cause errors with the pathfinding calculations. Bungie left these errors in as they felt that the map will only be used for MP and never require any pathfinding. I’m thinking about trying to fix these myself and make the map AI friendly.

@Finallilman04 There's a scarab gun like the one in Halo 2. It is hidden in the secret room, but not an actual scarab that you can fight.

It has been a long time coming - but finally I have another update worthy of you guys ready for download today. The highlight is the first time ever debut of my "AI Control System 2.0", which features great improvements over the initial implementation on my previous maps. Also added to this map is an even more upgraded AI system, as well as a vastly expanded Forge palette! Read below for a full list of all changes that happened with this update. Enjoy!

@Tater They can enter them, but cannot drive them. A vehicle needs to be spawned with an AI entity to be able to be driven by bots.

@Radio I may invent a custom H3 firefight type experience eventually for a few maps, but in the meantime definitely check out weaver's sandtrap firefight mod.

Thanks for your compliments about my mods. It is very much appreciated. I am sure that some of my other maps may better fit what you are looking for exactly. I currently have 7 H3 AI mods that can be played in Forge/Custom Games.

That's a shame, I hope someday a workaround is found to add more AI because this is exactly what I always wanted in this game as a kid, endless chaotic back and forth on the multiplayer maps. I'd love to see a difficulty increase too, it would definitely make the battles last longer and give the AI more time to spawn and catch up. I wonder if someone could come up with some kind of version of Halo 3 firefight? ODST is great but sometimes you just want to be a spartan. Either way good work with the tools you had available, I'll check out your newer ones and see if they have the pacing I'm looking for.

@Radio Another solution that I'd love to do is up the global AI difficulty. It is currently at Normal. I'd love to have it on Heroic, but I don't know of any way to change this as of now with AI maps in multiplayer. All of my efforts to do this thus far have failed.

In the future, I am going to update this map and see about making the war even bigger if possible. I'll basically push the map to the limits of the H3 AI engine. Until then, try checking out some of my other mods in the playlist above. There is something like 15 AI maps in there. My newer mods are bigger in scale with less cooldowns.

@Radio Thanks for playing. I'll do my best to answer those questions.

AI spawns cannot be tweaked by players. I would have to make code modifications and recompile the map to change spawn times. On some of my maps, I have implemented a AI spawn control switch system I created, that lets players decide what AI squad types can spawn. (This map doesn't have that tech implemented yet.) The reason I don't have the replenishment happening instantly is the game engine itself. It simply cannot support a massive amount of AI alive on map at once simultaneously. If I were to do that, the bots would lose intelligence and cease being fun to fight. They would start standing still doing nothing, or not noticing enemies, or even running into obstacles that they should clearly detect.

Is there any way to increase AI spawns at all in your levels? I really love the concept of just an endless ongoing war in these multiplayer maps but the spawns are just way too low to really do anything. If I play at all instead of just letting the AI fight itself the enemy just ends up being totally wiped out and then I just have to sit and wait for 30 seconds for another phantom to come in and drop it another 6 troops who are all immediately killed, wait another 30 sec etc. I think this would be so much fun if the spawns were more along the lines of a firefight game.

The Vietnam War of halo mods (if you play without choosing a team). You think elephants would save you. It's a great challenge to establish battlefield dominance vs both teams. Love this mod, I play it all the time.

Suggestion: It would be cool to have a scarab ai on the map for the covenants side. It doesn't need to be pilotable to me at least.

Hey Aviator, I just wanted to say. 1. These maps are fucking fantastico

2, would you take a commission? I would only be able to pay around 200 Australian dollars, but I would LOVE a map similar to your Mayhem maps, I love love love seeing ODST's, Spartans, and Marine's dropping constantly. I just want more variety because I've played both your mayhem maps so much.

Let me know, wether you'd take a commission or not, I'd still like to tip you. Add a tip jar somewhere.

@why the long face As far as I know, there is no way to do this currently in Halo 3. In the editing kit, the multiplayer team color the Covenant faction corresponds to is Orange, and for UNSC it is Green. Fear not though, I have a new mod coming out very soon which allows you to use your spartan's own colors in. The mod is based on Reach's Firefight, so that allows for players to use their own unique colors.

@Kevin unlikely for this map as the flood do not like to use vehicles, and they are a big part of this AI war mod. I am working on another project tho that is shaping up to be very awesome.

@lil carmine there is a secret room located above the underground base, on the side with the warthogs. use a teleporter two way set to phased physics to enter the room. (put the teleporter into the ceiling above the central platform with the UNSC laptop)
