But yeah, it works like this: There is a chance while sailing that, per tile, you will raise a thirst meter by 1. Once it reaches 10, barrels or bottles with water will be substracted. Else, if you dont have any of those 2 you will take Crew Morale damage (like how it works for Vanilla food consumption). But there is a whole world behind the "frequency" of how often this triggers, as it scales with you total hired actors and you fleet size.
As I say, writting the in depth breakdown rn, cause yeah, lots of stuff inside this mod. Thanks a lot for the patience and input, really.
Hmm, I see. The sailing thirst meter is the one that shows when hovering the boat, right? With a countdown, crew icon, and numbers that go up and "refresh" that countdown, I imagine depending on the crew members you have? I see when it reaches its end, all my water barrels are consumed, or bottles of water, if I have any, so, what would be my optimal play? I tried freezing my barrels of water into frozen barrels and buying more fresh water barrels to see if the thirst countdown ending wouldn't consume all of the fresh ones, but they still do. So, stashing excess water is the no-go, and water should be filled/bought every trip I make on the sea. Or is there any way to prevent all my water bottles/barrels from getting consumed in each thirst check?
Other than that, all mods are pretty much self isolated, so incompatibility issues are extremly rare and pretty much we modders are in touch with each other to prevent those cases.
I think that should be all. If you have any doubt, feel free to contact me on Discord or here. As always, thanks a lot for you input and feedback!
-1) The "splosh" its intentional. It indicates whenever the sailing thirst meter its raising by 1. I should probably make a fancy fx for it, but I fear it might me invasive or look odd. I needed a way to indicate, visually, the player that sailing thirst its rising. Bottles and Barrels must be on you stash to work, otherwise each time the meter fills, you Crew Morale will be damaged. I just checked on my game and the drain works as it should.
-2) For the "salty ones", its a separate mechanic. Based on how much food/water you have, there is a chance some of it will expire and turn into rotten food / salty water, which if consumed will raise the respective meter to the max. The chance its really low and has a cooldown of 3 days, but it exists. If you use Ice over Water Barrels, those will become frozen barrels which while on the stash get consumed whenever the rot check happens to prevent it. --->
Oh, non-related, but the fishing "turbulence" (like the thing that makes fishing not be like free money, that likes add for each fishing attempt) doesn't show in the fishing spot tooltip (that is genius btw. lol I couldn't abuse fishing this time around xD).
I'm mostly using yours and Prominences mods, so it might also be some kind of incompatibility. Oh well, just wanted to let you know. Thanks for the amazing work! :)
I seem to be having some problems with this mod... I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes when I'm sailing that "sploosh" sound of the boat happens, like something dropped, and when I go to check, all my Barrels of Water are used, there was even once I bought like 1000 barrels, I sailed a bit (like a day and a half, maybe?), the sploosh sound happened, and all my barrels where gone. Same with bottles of water, I think they are meant to turn into salt water, but most of them just "splooshes" into the water, I guess, like mid-sailing. This is kinda like middle-game esque, hmm, and I think this is it...
part 1 cause this post is too long lol
