Hello! We made a mistake of installing the mod without reading the comments and finding out that it's broken(could you please put information about it somewhere in the description? Thanks!). Game didn't crash on us yet, but I'm pretty sure it's just because most of the broken enemies don't spawn in the first location. We've made some pretty good progress though, and losing it would be pretty sad. Is it possible to remove this mod and replace it with original europa war without breaking the campaign? Thanks!

so far i have been doing a campaign and with the changes i made i have fought a few human creatures and not crashed going to keep going for awhile to see what happens

i am thinking of trying to slap a bandaid on this for me and my brother to use and had a quick question. if i take the animations from working characters that are similar to the broken ones do you think they would work or break.

Tried Europawar again with the EuropaWar_Vanilla mod. Spawns actors a lot still (humans attacking the sub). Kept getting one shot by things, including a clown with an Alien pistol. Def waiting for this to be updated so can use it in a future campaign

Is this fixed yet? The original mod fixed it, and I'd like to play this one since the regular europawar is so intensely unbalanced.

I believe I have identified the problem: it is not, in fact, the particles causing the issue. Any "human" enemy with a custom ragdoll that tries to hold an item crashes the game. This means that to fix it I must either revert all those creatures to default human ragdolls, remove their items(I.E. taking their guns away), or delete them entirely. Any of these options will take some time, which I struggle to have at the moment. I will fix the issue when I can. I'll likely push an update that simply removes those specific enemies to allow people to play the mod still, but in the meantime, please be patient. Thank you.

A good amount of the clowns cause the game to crash. Is it possible for you to see which clowns cause the game to crash?

@Crayssius Ok, we found that it's mainly the particles coming off of the clowns that crash you. You can see them when they're dead, but not alive when theyre emitting the Evil particles

Yeah, that's what I thought. Sucker doesn't have a head sprite in the character editor for some reason. I doubt that's what's causing it, but I'll see if I can't figure out what is.

@Crayssius Apparently, it was clownhuman04 because that's the only NPC that seems to constantly pop up within the debug messages.

Debug, I think. I've got an idea of which npcs are causing the issues, but I have to check and make sure. Plus, potentially knowing what exactly is causing the crash will likely be the difference between me patching the npcs out or actually fixing the issue.

@Crayssius So, me and my friends did some testing. It's some sort of clown npc that crashes you if you look at it. It's playable until said Unobservable Clowns board the ship, which instantly crashes everybody.

I'm pretty sure its the boarding party that spawns off of those red targets that crash the game.

@Crayssius When the enemies hit the sub with those little red targets/reticles, they crash the game completely. The dev of the original mod said he couldn't fix it

The spawn rates for pirates are insane. And don't get me started on their ability to just OPEN the airlock and walk into your sub as if they had an ID card. The "retrieve lost cargo" mission where you have to go into a little dungeon outpost with enemies in mechs is really where you realize that this mod was not made to be "Challenging but fair".

There's lots of good concepts here. The enemies are well thought out and the new equipment is awesome. But PLEASE tone it down. Getting stunlocked by a pirate with dual machine guns or a syringe gun is only funny the first 5 times it happens. It's not fun when it happens 3 times a mission.

Thank you for the response i will keep trying to get one alive and let you know when i finally succeed atm usually i die immediately or they die before i can get ahold of them lol. i had a good laugh when i opened the door to go loot some pirates and a nuke drone flew into my sub and i was suddenly watching as only my lower legs were floating in what used to be my sub lol

hello, i know the pirates are techinically creatures and was curious by some chance do they still count towards the skill that rewards you for haveing captured enemies when you end a round

I am not planning on making any compatibility patches, I'm afraid. Making your own is quite easy, however, and Forked EuropaWar is largely independent, and won't cause problems if overridden.
