If you want to make a patch for it, you have my permission.
What you can do is replace the default texture file with this one. That way, you'd have your Exosuit altering mod with the new look.
Torso: 0.55, 0.75
Pelvis: 0.54, 0.45
You lose some height for the Exosuit, but everything fits.
I really like the new design of the exo suit, but the above mod, adding convenient functions to it, also returns it to its original appearance.
Also, I can't make this one thing use a different skeleton, so everything has to line up with human joints.
Guess what, that did the trick, thank you mighty.
Thank you, I will try my best.
This is what I mean about texture swapping the vanilla file.
Locate the Steam directory that your game is in, then follow these.
Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 602960 > 2928517286 > Items > Jobgear > Mechanic
Bring that and replace
Steam > steamapps > common > Barotrauma > Content > Items > Jobgear > Mechanic
Make sure you have a back-up for the original one.
In a sense, that method also makes it work wherever there isn't another texture override, and makes this mod no longer needed to be downloaded to work.
I'm going to fresh install the mod and if that fails. I'll fresh install the game. Also, I don't know how to open files such as that on my computer, but if all else fails, I will try.
I have no clue what your problem may be, as everything should work. Have you restarted your game after applying it, as to let the override run properly?
Other than that, I have no idea how to help you.
… other than finding this mods’ workshop file in your computer, and switching the game’s sprite for it, as it uses the same dimensions, but that is more of a permanent change.
Yes, that is the first thing I did, but no luck. It gives the purple text saying "Exosuit Retexture" when I hover over the suit. I downloaded a 1-handed Riot Shield mod and that worked fine without problem. I know not what the problem is.
Did you move it from the right column to the left one, then press “Apply?”
It’s applied the same as any other mod, no server restriction.
I'll see what I can do.
