floats just fine for me, then again i do have buoyancy at 5

I'm seeing which of your naval designs work with the Water Mod .
This one does not float. A little buoyancy under the landing pad could get it to float.

the other ship is the old guided missile corvette we're not allowed to use anymore :steamsad:

That is Project 747, it is designated as an Orbital Assault Ship (inspired by real life Amphibious Assault Ships), which is basically a light carrier.
