Minor patch to mirror change set from Cosmoteer 0.28.2 where all vanilla asteroids are set as always visible when inside gas clouds.
Since you had Mineable Gigaroids disabled, you experienced the game not working anymore. Enabling this mod again or disabling its addon should fix this issue in your specific case.
Just to clarify for anyone reading here, there was nothing wrong with any of my mods.
Still wondering why this mod got disabled though, but perhaps best you take that up with the devs. Good luck.
Then is time to feedback unsync bug to game devs
Thanks for your patience!
Then I couldn't understand... why did the game try to preload saves at startup?
Or say... the game is just trying to load all components in the mod list, have nothing to do with the saves?
uh in fact, we're not trying to load game?
CTD happens during the game start, not in game menu trying load any exist saves.
If you want, we can show you how to trigger this error by letting yourself follow what we done, the bug is stable and easy to reach
All you need to do is try to join our room, then the game will show you.
The error message "The given key 'SirCampalot.asteroid_8003' was not present in the dictionary" points to this mod.
This error indicates the game is trying to load up this asteroid, but cannot find it in your modlist due to you trying to load a non-new game with this mod disabled when the save you made earlier was made with this asteroid from this mod present.
tldr: usually it means someone tries to load an old save while having this mod not enabled anymore.
I don't know much about the 'synchronize mod' feature, you should ask the devs on discord if you have any questions about it.
In fact there's no other error except leading game crash to desktop.(Perhaps we haven't encountered further problems yet) Just the game's 'synchronize mod' function somehow turned this mod off after synchronize with host, and cause CTD when we're trying to restart the game.
--Yeah there were 3 of we: the game made the same mistake to 3 us and we got 3 identical error logs lol
after reading the crash traceback and debugging for a period of time, I figured out that it's this mod's not enable lead us to CTD.
(and this is the point why I'm saying this mod is necessary to ETTM--cuz in what I saw is not enabling this mod is the culprit behind CTD-- also I wondering why)
I never played coop before (in cosmoteer that is) so I can't really tell.
It's why I try to patch friday or monday as the weekends are usually most people playing, but impossible to avoid all of these situations as there will always be people playing. So sooner or later someone will get the short end of the stick again.
Little I can do about it except keep version numbers consistent (so people are more likely to spot the difference), to avoid patching during prime times (so fewer people for which this situation can occur) and to avoid doing lots of tiny patches.
So yeah, little I can do about it. It is mostly just bad luck if it happens to you.
Sometimes when stuff goes bad for someone, people forget that I am just a person like the next, except that I also make mods for free for people to use. I'm not a professional game programmer or something and I do make mistakes.
And thank you for your feedback.
Thanks for the reply, think some additional infomation is needed:
`Yes I disabled this mod and got CTD
·This problem occured when I was playing with friends, their steam pushed the latest ver1.3.0 updated several hours ago, while mine didn't. so I used the 'sync mod' button in game, once finished downloading, I clicked 'restart game', and then I got CTD and after debug I found the cause is this mod wasn't active -- I know this isn't your fault, this should blame to cosmoteer, or steam workshop.
---
But I was wondering, why can I got CTD if I subscribed this mod with inactive, while no subscribe won't ? This's somewhat puzzling

Additional, I'll post the key content of error log below in case you need. if you need the whole details, tell me post at thread then.
The given key 'SirCampalot.asteroid_8003' was not present in the dictionary.
Halfling.Serialization.DeserializeException: Deserialization from source "<…\Cosmoteer Datalcosmoteer.rules>" failed.
Hi.
ETTM doesn't require this mod. Period. ETTM only requires the latest version of the base game.
So I don't know why you got that error. It seems more likely you had this mod disabled and this caused your game to error out on this.
This mod does require ETTM, just to reiterate.
If you want the vanilla (non-ETTM) version of this mod, you can get it here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2907238729
Millions of mods on the workshop feature dependensies and this dependensy system is beyond my power to modify. It is the way it is and when using the workshop for mods we all just have to try and make the best of it.
About your mod suggestion, currently not possible.
If you don't use ETTM then please don't use this mod (it won't work) but instead use the non-ETTM version of this mod instead.
If you have the full error log, feel free to post it on the modding discord or in the bugs thread.
if this mod was disabled or missing, the ETTM will cause CTD at the game starting. check this mod in your mod list using Temporary disable mod mode if you're encountering error log like"The given key 'SirCampalot.asteroid' was not present in the dictionary"

TO MOD AUTHOR:
if ETTM requires this mod, then why not integrate this mod in ETTM? Maybe you can whether active this mod function or not judging by "modDirectory.SirCampalots.exist" (well I'm not a modder and just making immature advice.)
- Preliminary support for the newly added ETTM resource Platinum (Mineable Gigaroids and Mineable Megaroids containing Platinum will start to appear from tier 8-10 systems and up).
- Improved naming convention which should improve differentiation between all the different asteroids contained within this mod (better names).
The type of gigaroid will have a small influence on the resources within the gigaroid:
Some will contain a bit more carbon (and some diamonds) than the usual gigaroid, some will contain a bit more precious metals like gold or silver than the usual gigaroid.
I want something more informing than the numbers, but I simply haven't found a nomenclature I like enough to warrant supplanting the current numbering scheme with.
Updated the mod description as it is shown within the ingame mod menu (these don't get auto-updated along with the mod description on the steam workshop).
Also the large asteroids (not the gigaroids, but the mineable megarodis from the additional asteroid field this mod spawns in) from the mod will now show their most valuable resource in parentheses, just like in the mod Mineable Megaroids.
Also updated the supported version numbers
No gameplay changes were made.
Yes, gigaroids are bigger than megaroids.
- Updated supported game version to get rid of the annoying popup and the auto-disabling of all 'incompatible' mods
- Slight tweaking of the resources. Silver should now be slightly more common. Gold should be veeeery slightly less common. Total credit value of resources mined should be up a bit.
