"causes the UI to become overcrowded with resource numbers, even when UI scaling is set to 100%."
This is a known issue which I tried to convey to the devs even as far back as 2023 iirc.
There is nothing I can do about it except not add more resources to my mods and set resources to only be displayed if owned instead of always.
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2946607362
causes the UI to become overcrowded with resource numbers, even when UI scaling is set to 100%.
This might be because I’m playing on a laptop with a smaller screen compared to a desktop. It could also be a limitation of the game engine — I haven’t found any way to adjust how resources are displayed, either overall or in build mode. In build mode specifically, the resource numbers overlap with other UI elements, making it impossible to read all the values.
Is there any workaround for this? My apologies if this is something outside the scope of what your mods or collection can address.
Also made some balance changes to accomodate the new resource and how it ratios with the other resources.
These new asteroids will only appear in star systems from roughly 8-10 difficulty level.
I may tweak the ratios in this mod more often in the near future.
Due to the new resource, ETTM version 1.3.17 or higher is now required for this mod to function properly.
Updated the version number and the mod description shown within the game mod menu as this isn't automatically synchronized with the mod description shown on the mod workshop page.
No gameplay changes were made.
But anyway, I've uploaded a cheating version of the silver addon which will hopefully be to your liking (use at your own risk) : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3260733442
Don't forget you need to visit a new star system for the changes to take effect. Use along the original Silver Addon to increase the amount of silver containing asteroids even further.
Have a good day.
Also keep in mind that you should be able to buy silver coils from any trade station quite easily and these restock infinitely (so you can always sell your surplus other resources and use that money to buy silver coils).
Silver coils are more costly partially because of how much more capable the upgraded items are and the prices of both are in a good spot now balance wise. Silver is already relatively common compared to resources like carbon and tritanium, even though it is more expensive.
If you really really want more silver and you're playing a solo game, I can tell you how you can edit the silver addon yourself to increase the amount of silver asteroids that spawn. You will then have increased silver asteroids in any unvisited star system you visit.
I had by accident set the new large asteroids containing duranium to be roughly as common as tritanium, while it's almost as expensive as gold, so duranium was way too common whilst duranium can be smelted into 2 durasteel where tritanium is smelted into only 1 tristeel.
As of this patch, it should have a more proper rarity (roughly similar to or a bit more than uranium instead of having a similar rarity to tritanium).
This should not affect star systems already visited, only future ones.
I will however be releasing an add-on soon for people who really want the old rarity back and people can continue to enjoy farming the riches in their currently visited star systems unimpeded just fine :P
But I really needed to make this change. I'll probably be tweaking the rarities a bit from time to time.
You should be able to just continue your current playthrough. I'm contining my current playthrough and only needed to travel to an invisited star system for the new resources to appear.
The new tech tree ship parts should be available to unlock and to build right away (if you have the resources).
This is the first version that adds the Mineable Megaroids containing trace amounts of Duranium.
1 to 3 can spawn in any of the asteroid fields and 6 to 11 will spawn inside the asteroid belt.
No other changes were made.
Thank you for your feedback.
You have both versions of Mineable Dwarf Planets enabled. These mods cannot be used at the same time. This is why you are getting these crashes according to your log file.
Please disable one of the 2 mods that have "Mineable Dwarf Planets" in their name, it should then be fixed.

-Ω Minable Megaroids - Extended Tech Tree patch
-Ω Mineable Dwarf Planets
-Ω Mineable Gigaroids
Thank you for your feedback :).
There isn't a mod named Mineble Gigaroids - Extended Tech Tree patch, I suppose you meant Mineable Megaroids - Extended Tech Tree Patch?
You have no other mods enabled from other mod authors?
But if the MM Extended Tech Tree Patch broke the game, I'd need to reproduce it so I can fix it.
If you enabled both Mineable Dwarf Planets and Mineable Dwarf Planets - Expansion for SirCampalots Extended Tech Tree Mod, this will probably cause your game to crash as these 2 mods are not supposed to be used simultaneously.
Minable megaroids (Gold,Carbon,Hyperium,Tritanium,Uranium Addons)
Minable Dwarf Planets
Extended Tech tree
Minable Megaroids - Extended Tech Tree patch
(Minable Gigaroids, Mineble Gigaroids - Extended Tech Tree patch, Minable Dwarf Planets - extended Tech tree Patch Broke the game so i had to disable them)
The silver veins are a bit more white colored compared to the iron veins but I'll be honest, it may be somewhat harder to distinguis between the silver and iron veins compared to most of the other veins unless I'm zoomed in a bit more.
This usually doesn't matter to me as I just mine everything anyway.
I would recommend to mark each mineable megaroid you find important so you can later find it again later (remove the markers once mining has been completed).
About you finding much more gold, which asteroid or mining mods are you using right now?
