Okay, just wanted to know. I spent time agonizing over whether to do those too. 😂
Zaljerem  [autor] 8 ABR 2024 a las 18:29
Things that never got implemented, variations on textures, that kind of thing.
Runzu 8 ABR 2024 a las 18:17
@Zaljerem Kind words! :slimetabby: Also, I'm curious about the other textures in the mod. Are they simply things you haven't implemented yet for a future update?
Zaljerem  [autor] 8 ABR 2024 a las 16:45
Looks great! I've linked you in the description.
Runzu 8 ABR 2024 a las 14:21
Finally finished! Thank you so much for this fun mod. :slimetabby:

Of course, and I'll happily link it in the description above.
Runzu 7 ABR 2024 a las 15:14
Thank you! As soon as I figure out how to do that, I'll link it here too, if that's okay? :slimetabby:
Zaljerem  [autor] 7 ABR 2024 a las 15:13
Go for it!
Runzu 7 ABR 2024 a las 15:09
Hellos, I made some retextures for my game and I wanted to know if it'd be okay to upload? It'd be my first Rimworld retexture, so it's not too fancy, but I attempted the vanilla style. Thanks! :slimetabby:

Thats a really cool idea
yanwoo 21 ABR 2023 a las 8:21
Stumps? any way to grab stump as a item?
barabba13579 20 ABR 2023 a las 4:40
Could you add caravan supplies? A simple box containing 10 survival meals, some light drugs like beer/smokeleaf/psychite tea and a few meds. I feel caravans would want such things
Jane Enigma 6 ABR 2023 a las 7:52
I wish we had good models for these.
pravculear 5 ABR 2023 a las 10:23
so, i made a mod review if anyone wants to hear my two cents on the mod and see it in action. on that note, i hope you enjoy the video!

Updated: Additional trade goods, see description for details. I see some additional suggestions that are interesting, I'll start on the next update.
[JdG] Pejman 3 ABR 2023 a las 18:21
Here is my suggestion :
Make multiple boxes with different costs

Handicraft trade goods :current one
Luxury trade goods : uses gold or jade, costs more needs extra skills (artist, good for leveling it up without the issue of getting clogged with awful statues)
Medical goods :uses herbal medicine/drug plants needs intellectual
Food supplies trade goods : needs food, uses cooking

That should cover it all
Ren 2 ABR 2023 a las 23:44
So from the sounds of it there'll be a specific type of box that can only be made with corpses, chunks, or stumps and the like?
Sera 2 ABR 2023 a las 18:03
ok cool I will have to keep watch.
Zaljerem  [autor] 2 ABR 2023 a las 17:56
Right now it's just items you can craft to sell from wood/steel; next update will have an item you can craft from unwanted items - a "dump item" as you call it.
Sera 2 ABR 2023 a las 17:35
ok it might seem ovious but question does it hold stuff to sell or pretty much just crafting a chair? because you do say "litaraly just a square box" and that says it's just a decoration/sell item but the "a crate of miscellaneous item" sounds like you can put stuff in it. if so I need that. a dump item i can just sell and all the stuff is gone sounds great.
TurtleShroom 2 ABR 2023 a las 10:29
Yes, Thundercraft is spot on. Rotting corpses and stumps are a scam, so they should be the cheapest tier, along with other useless stuff. That is just a reiteration of what I initially said, and it's good to hear it, because he is right.
Zaljerem  [autor] 2 ABR 2023 a las 5:45
Just finishing up testing new stuff and tweaking market values for an update, probably today. Art - well, I ain't no artiste, I actually thought the textures didn't look half-bad in game. Art donations always accepted.
PremierVader 2 ABR 2023 a las 4:55
Hey this is an excellent idea! Hope to see the other stuff you mentioned are in development also hoping to see a bit of a texture update for these.
Smiley Face Killer 1 ABR 2023 a las 20:28
Idk exactly how that coinage mod works, but you could take a look at that mod and figure out the math or equation that they use.
not sure if you know what mod I'm talking about, but basically you can make coins from almost any material and the value is equalish to whatever that material is. So if you're like me and you hate Jade with a passion, you can divvy it up into coins to help trading more equal. Like if I sell stuff worth 1535 and they have 1555 and I have nothing to make up for that small of a gap price, I could sell a few coins to make up for it. Really nifty mod for people like me that have a guy cutting stones 24/7

Had to delete my comment and remove the part of the "mystery" box, turns out the guy right below me had the exact same idea before me lol (It pays to read comments some times)
Thundercraft 1 ABR 2023 a las 19:21
Quote, "the custom trade goods item will have to have a set price"

Quote, "I'm still iffy on plants because it's 1 item, 2 wood per crate - should a $1 plant be worth $5 just because there's $2 of wood around it?"

I think a solution is to divide this up into a few separate categories of stuff to sell.

In my mind, these things could be sold as a "Mystery box" where the player's colonists tell the trader that the box is sold "as is", with no refunds and no information on what it contains. (Like a reverse of the "Loot Boxes" mod.)

I do agree that stuff like corpses, rotten items, chunks, and stumps should be allowed, but this should definitely be in the "Cheap" or "Misc" category where the player is lucky to trick a trader out of a few silver for that.

Perhaps other categories could be like Food, Materials, Weapons, etc?
Zaljerem  [autor] 1 ABR 2023 a las 19:18
I'm thinking a specific biohazard crate for corpses.
Zaljerem  [autor] 1 ABR 2023 a las 18:23
Who would buy stinking corpse trade goods? Wait, this is the Rim ... don't answer that. :)

Ok, chunks, stumps, and buildings can be allowed I feel (if you really want to take a huge loss on a building instead of deconstructing it). I'm still iffy on plants because it's 1 item, 2 wood per crate - should a $1 plant be worth $5 just because there's $2 of wood around it? Come to think of it - that feels familiar from grocery shopping lately. Hrmm. "Food" for thought.
TurtleShroom 1 ABR 2023 a las 18:05
IMO, I think you should put as few restrictions as possible, and just set the Market Price to something reasonably low.

Corpses, rotten items, plants, chunks, and stumps should be able to be inserted. Obviously, living things should not be allowed for good reason. Only Mini-fied Buildings should be boxed.

Here's a better idea: call the ROOT Trade Good Box a "Loot Box". Place anything that isn't alive in it, sell it for something like five or six pieces of Silver, and hope for the best!
Zaljerem  [autor] 1 ABR 2023 a las 17:31
An excellent suggestion, I'm working through it now - it's very doable with just XML, with one caveat - the custom trade goods item will have to have a set price; without coding I highly doubt it's possible to have a variable sell price. If you accept that whatever you're boxing up (check your filters carefully! I'd hate to see a mech serum go) is priced to move, everything must go, we're in business - literally! :)

Additionally, I'm putting filters in place - no corpses, rotten items, plants (we're not boxing $1 worth of plants to sell for $7), chunks, stumps, buildings, animals, foods, silver, wood, steel. There are probably modded items that should be disallowed; if made aware I can disallow them.

I welcome additional suggestions and feedback. I'm going to be testing all this and determining a value for the trade item, etc., see how things are feeling in an actual *game* (it seems like I spend more time modding than playing lately - occupational hazard!) ... thanks!
Gamiseus 1 ABR 2023 a las 14:25
@Zaljerem Seconded on TurtleShroom's thought, would that be possible? It would be a good way to get rid of useless stuff, that is if there's a formula in place that calculates the value of the ingredients instead of a set sell value. Still a useful mod regardless!
TurtleShroom 1 ABR 2023 a las 14:04
If I may make a suggestion, why not make it so that you can put ANYTHING into that box and sell it? Like, set the Ingredients Filter to ROOT, so that we can get rid of useless stuff the same way.
Lionheart 31 MAR 2023 a las 19:43
What a legend.
Zaljerem  [autor] 31 MAR 2023 a las 17:53
Updated: 1.3 tag (untested), market price fixed, will now patch any traders in Core/from mods loaded before this one.
Zaljerem  [autor] 31 MAR 2023 a las 17:19
I will be implementing the all traders patch very soon and I'll add the 1.3 for you as well. At that point, this mod will need to be loaded after all such trader mods (or not, maybe, if you have some you don't want accepting trade goods - load them after this mod).
Thundercraft 31 MAR 2023 a las 17:14
Only if it's not too much trouble. :lunar2020playfuldog:
Zaljerem  [autor] 31 MAR 2023 a las 17:12
You want 1.3 for this one also? :D
Thundercraft 31 MAR 2023 a las 16:49
Sounds great!

My 2 cents: Yes, please, do try add some patches for traders added by mods. I like to use such mods.
