Also how about buffing the warlord's first skill by making it also give all melee units taunt

This is a great mod but could do with some AOW3 style skills that give defence or resistance/ status resist bonuses to the whole army a hero commands. Also warrior and Archmage skills are a bit underwhelming. The first few archmage skills just give bonuses or increased rank at recruitment to battle mage and support units, which isn't worth having as you can get ranks from experience easily enough. Warrior skills could do with a bit of improvement ( e.g charge resist on its own is only any use against cavalry. Is it possible to give all units in a warrior hero's army resist to overwhelm and against attacks that usually remove them from defence mode?)

I love this mod. I do have some criticism.

Warlord: Taunting Strike should be 60%. 90% is way too high.
Gambler: I think +20% crit chance is too big of a boost and should be +10%. Additionally, the auras are FAR too large. 3-hexes is a LARGE area. Most auras are 1-hex for a reason, and I feel these auras should go by that same rule, especially as an autospell.
Dragon Disciple: Feels too specific to make a hero specialize in it.

Incredible mod but many abilities seem underpowered, especially when you move into caster territory. The probelm is that new abilities (for casters at least) are doing fixed magical damage that doesn't scale with your bonus magical damage so they can be useful for the first few levels but you are always better off cranking up your bonus magic dmg and using basic magic attacks.

Hi. First of all I really love this mod. It just added some oomph to heroes that they didn't really have in the base game.

That being said I was hoping you could take a look at the Ranger class's ranging shot. It's not a BIG deal but for some reason it seems to replace the Heroe's base attack so if it's not on cooldown the hero tries to aim ranging shot instead of actually moving or attacking. Easy to fix by pressing move or the actual shoot button but it is annoying.

Bard could really use some love. Maybe give them some stronger single target control actions, eg. Seduce, Insanity, Taunt + Defense to an ally? Or Spur to Action maybe?


Or give their debuffs a cone effect and some damage, so they don't feel as awkward to use.

apparently to start speccing a hero class you need to spend a skill point on the lev 1 hero class skill in the warfare, battle magic, or support skill classes

so where is the druid skill? I have 3 heroes and as they level up they do not see druid hero class as an option to pick

No idea why, but every time I level and choose a class, it doesn't stick. I've leveled 3 times now, chosen Paladin each time. And each time I level, I have to spend a skill point to choose a class again. Waste of a skill point. I'm not running many mods, less than 8, I think. Any help would be appreciated.

oh minor thing - not important, but the ranger pets don't seem to be working for me. Could be a conflict with one of the hundred other mods I have installed though

Awesome mod. Thanks for making this. Suggestions - give druids the increased army movement skill that rangers get added to one of their existing skills. And with warlords something similar - or else give them an ability that's like Forced March but an improved version of it, without as bad penalties as the Empire Upgrade gives. Also some kind of morale bonus for the army, or mass Rally skill added to one of the Warlord upgrades. Never made sense to me that Warlords in Age of Wonders games have no morale boosting abilities as generals.

@tjimagineer Agreed btw, lol. Especially cause Shadow enemy territory regen trait + Natural regeneration, if you are going for it, is HELLA strong regen for 1 turn.

Honestly I think they went in the wrong direction with the summons. They should just get rid of temporary healing instead then the summons are less useful.

Yeah pets are strong. I didn't feel too bad about making heavy use of them before the latest game update nerfed summons a lot. I don't really want to change it now though. I don't exactly claim that the mod is balanced compared to the base game anyways. You can always increase the difficulty if that helps.

Damn, every class with pets is super strong, just cause they can throw in additional bodies in every battle without really losing stacks at all.

Just as a quick PSA the game may give you a warning message whenever you load a save game after a mod has been updated but I'd encourage you to try continuing the game anyways. I am sure some changes might really cause serious problems but in all of my testing I have never seen a mod update cause crashes or any other bad behavior. Just my 2 cents.

Tjimagineer you were right these abilities were bugged in the same way. I uploaded a new version to fix these. I also went and make sure no other abilities had this flag set and they did not so hopefully nothing else is broken in this way at least. Thanks for your help in bug finding.

Fayette I tested the Necromancer spells and they do work. I think what happened is that their spells had a hidden restriction that they cannot affect undead units. I should have put this in the text description of them. Sorry about that. I'll fix that in the next release.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the channel corruption and channel greater corruption abilities also do not increase damage as the description say.s. Hopefully it is the same bug as vile smite and is easy to fix.

Following up on the previous post, this kind of ripped my current dark run, since I leveled 3 heroes as necromancers, only to find out none of these powers work. No other mods installed other than more cultural units.

None of the Lich powers can target enemies. It all comes up as "Target Cannot be affected". So things like withering and finger of death are doing nothing.

I released a new update that adds the new Gambler class. I also finally fixed the Vile Smite bug which turned out to due to a flag that didn't seem important being set to a wrong value.

Yo, this so cool! Adds a lot of flavor to character's. They now really feel like ones and even inspire me to customize them. Thanks bud, great one! Little idea for you tho, if you're interested. For the dragons create unqiue little tree, based on alignment. Or a separate submod for them. Just a though tho, great work!
