true that @Ameliorist, the camera shake is super strong, and if it were possible to tone it down to the levels of Immersive First Person at least then it would be great! but what do you think @Shadowysn

Yeah well neither this or that mod can really do anything with custom models handling the eyes attachment poorly so it is what it is.

Nope. Even if I can get around the high barrier of math and vector calculation to offset the camera, the client-sided movement prediction of the parented camera will be thrown off and make the camera very jittery.

@Sayachii, it does work great as an alternative but tbh I prefer fpa more because I still retain my viewmodel mods and its not just host only, so I figured it was worth asking. whether or not my request is possible probably only @Shadowsyn knows....

Ngl, I completely missed that you've made both mods, but I was mostly referring to when it's used with custom models, since that's directly pinned on the model in question.

@Kouga There is another addon that acts more like TF2's cl_firstpersonworldmodel thing. It's less restrictive in that regard but the camera may be placed higher up than your actual head.

@shadowsyn well i have no idea how to replicate it as of now, but if i figure it out ill get back to you.

another thing though, would it be possible to add a freecam mode when fpa activates? i was just thinking it would be nice if we could still look around while the animations play, especially since some fpa's are a bit discombobulating

Updated to add !fpa and !fpagod chat commands.
!fpa lets you add yourself to a saved-on-server blacklist or whitelist for all FP animations depending on server's OptListType setting. (defaults to blacklist)
!fpagod triggers constant FP animation on yourself, uses same list system to save your choice as well. Beware, this disables your item HUD and crosshair as a side effect, your aim will be all over the place, and it can be nauseating. Only use if you're up for the challenge.

That's odd, the stumble camera uses a thinking timer so it should disable the camera on all instances you're not staggering.

hey there. it gets stuck on FP stumble when the infected that stumbled me dies (i think?) im not entirely sure how to replicate it but the behavior is there still

I patched a bug with common infected breaking revive camera upon killing your revive target on 17 Apr @ 4:26pm, let me know if it happens again.

Immersive Fall Damage and Collapse Tongue Release use a different way of playing the collapse animations that isn't registered by this mod. I don't think I can really support this method from how improper it is.

If you are reviving a survivor and revivable survivor is dead in process - you are stuck in POV.

Immersive falldamage mod or collapse tongue release have same character animations, but not play POV trigger. BUT survivor stagger on charger mid-release works perfectly.

I hope the Opt-in-opt-out, SteamID checking. would be added sooner or later. I love this mod but I have a lot of friends who hates it as well.

If I remember correctly, the only bugs with Lux's old version was that it liked to move your camera into infected feet while dead. (excluding the cinematic cameras not doing their thing obviously, but that isn't a problem) the original FPanimations mod here pops an error message after X amount of time playing.

Moving the camera any more inside or further away would likely just exacerbate clipping problems from either the head or the arms/walls/pinning infected respectively. Probably not.

I could see now how that option has a niche compared to when I was initially making the mod, but back then would've been the best time to implement it.
Now I just have to rely on randomly gathering enough motivation to create the option as well as deal with any bugs it happens to cause.

The only "bad" parts of the always FP option was that flashlight and laser didn't show up for the player but I don't think that can be fixed. The nauseating part only affects some people of the group that decided to enable that optional setting.

but it adds legs and you can use third person with realistic first person with legs at the same time with that option enabled. I loved that and it didn't had a bug with legs behind the character like first person legs mod. It also rendered the entire shadow in first person and really followed the head movements. it was not just a flying camera where your eyes or hair can become viable sometimes. The problem with first mod is that game is crashing with FP enabled for some reason

That option was left out since it was potentially nauseating and needs a new setup in code to properly support. Didn't see much point in porting that over.

Is there something you can do about the camera clipping? I know this isn't an FOV issue and rather an issue with the model clipping into the actual camera. Maybe there's a way to move the camera back a little?
