I don't get that error, so the best guess I can come up with is that you have both this mod and the All in One loaded at the same time. Without a log, I can't provide more feedback

Config error in Pigskin: Hyperlink to EBSG_ContractedStomach more than once on Pigskin description

Yes because strong stomach is rebalanced in this to be a -3 metabolic efficiency instead of -1. Contracted stomach acts as a balancer for the new metabolic cost without causing too much of an impact on gameplay. Just realized I forgot to update their values in my rebalancing though, because that's supposed to be 80% food capacity, not 60%. I'll upload a fix shortly.

This mod contains a patch to force all xenotypes (predefined in xml, not custom made in game) that have Strong Stomach to also have Contracted Stomach. Is this deliberate?

There isn't one? That's why it gives metabolic efficiency unlike the large stomachs, which take from it.

I don't fully understand the effect Max nutrition has. The pawn can store more/less food, what's the advantage of a smaller Food bar/stomach? Wouldn't I just be wasting nutrition every time the pawn "goes over" the bar's limit?

Thank you, that is some speedy delivery!

Added eating speed genes

Just processed your request for eating speed genes, and I can't believe I forgot to make those. I'll throw those in EBSG Food once I'm done making them.

I've made an update to the stomach capacity genes to make them have a bit more of an impact on gameplay. The small stomachs are smaller, and the big stomachs are a lot bigger.
Alite  [author] 14 Jan, 2024 @ 1:28pm
I may add something like that to the framework in the future, but at the moment I'm not planning on trying to mess with the basic ways genes and xenotypes function since I have so many other things to handle right now.

10 x would be a bit much since Rimworld simply wouldn't know what to do with that much capacity, but in retrospec 1.3 is way to small of a multiplier. I'll bump them up to 1.5, 2, and 2.5, which depending on metabolic efficiency should allow pawns to store several days of food.

I'll also drop the small stomachs to 0.8, 0.6, and 0.4, which should make them a lot more inconvenient.

Additionally, and i know this is well beyond the scope of this mod, could you add a feature (maybe as a standalone mod?) that
A: allows xenotypes to exceed +5 / -5 metabolism (there's already mods that do this)
and
B: actually give bonus / malus for extreme metabolism levels, basically just extending the vanilla range.
I don't think it unreasonable that a +13 metabolism xenotype could have 15% food need, whereas a -20 metabolism supersoldier might need 10x more food than usual. Normally, the latter would mean eating 24/7 just to not starve, but any gene-artist would be coupling that with aforementioned large stomach genes.
Maybe even add genes to allow MUCH faster eating too?

This is a simply incredible mod! Cannot play without.
I come to you with some feedback: after playing with the stomach sizes, I don't think the larger stomach size genes are worth it, whereas the small stomach sizes are quite OP imo. A baseliner with just a small stomach will basically eat just as often, but less - no downsides.
On the other hand, 1.3x stomach size for -3 metabolism is really hard to justify.
If I wanted to make a pawn that only eats once a week (but either eats a lot, or sleeps all the time, or other downsides) there are no options for that. I know it sounds like a lot, but imo the max size stomach should add 10x food capacity than normal.

An All in One has been made . It will be updated in the future, but most of my planned easy genes have been made.

@alite you are doing Randy's good work with these gene mods. I love em :D

I'm planning on making an archite expansion for both of the series in the near(ish) future. I'll add doesn't need food to the list.
SAUCE__GODD 21 Jul, 2023 @ 9:13am
I have an idea for a "dessert" gene, what about a gene that makes the pawn not need food at all?
For those among us who don't like alpha genes
