Chilchuck can also offer some big accuracy buffs so you could pair him with someone like Leper or any other hero who struggles with accuracy. I haven't played with his riposte enough so I can't say much about that. Still, he seems to prefer to stay in the backline, which is advised since msot of his skills work there and he is less targeted by damaging skills.
If you want something more consistent, I've found that a tank guarding is safer. Again, with the heroes from Dungeon Meshi, you can employ Senshi who can guard Chilchuck although his guard has a cooldown so you might wanna be careful with the timing if you plan on using it for other squishy characters.
Namari also has a guarding skill which you can use anytime and she also has some mark synergy through her crossbow skill but its not an amazing skill so far, it reminds me of something like thrown dagger which is mostly useful for the reach and has some weak mark synergy.
Offensively, I've found him nice for setting up marks due to how fast he is, which allow allows him to pick low health target at the beginning of a round. If you're pairing him with other heroes from Dungeon Meshi, he can set up mark in the frontline for Senshi, who was a powerful attack with the knife that greatly benefits from mark.
He is also a good pair for the beastkin Izutsumi. He can mark, then Izutsumi can throw a kunai that causes bleeding and gets extra DMG and bleed chance vs mark. Afterwards, Chilchuck can follow up with Jugular shot because it has mark synergy for extra bleeding amount and Izutsumi can also follow up with a different Kunai skill that gets synergy agaisnt bleeding targets.
You need to make sure Chilchuck goes before Izutsumi in the turn order though, so you may want to speed him up or make Izutsumi slower.
Otherwise, great mod, liking it so far.
When I saw half-foot I thought it was a pirate lol
He's also been buffed significantly, namely all of his attacks ignore stealth, Jugular Shot can now hit any row, and Berate now increased Bleed/Blight amount. I've also added an illegal meme.
1). In line 313 - 315 (half-foot+str_bark_stress_abusive): CDATA blocks are not closed properly, missing one "]" at each end of the lines,
2). In line 627 - 628 (half-foot+str_bark_deathsdoorsurvive_ally): missing "[CDATA".
I don't know if it would cause any problems in game, just thought you should know :)
