If you could possibly spend a little time to update it for us, I'd really appreciate it as this is one of my favourites.
Could u pls create a mod that only changes this name ? ;)
Goes for the Augustus campaign as well, and possibly the Wrath of Sparta campaign.
Thanks for the mod!
@Mr. White: I'm sorry, I'm currently not into modding anymore, I don't have the time for it. Also, this wouldn't be historically correct, which is the idea of this pack.
Yep. :D
Ptolemaic Kingdom ftw
I should have started a discussions rather than just comenting, thus I wont go further in the argument. This mod is great anyway so thanks!
Thanks for the information, but the map you showed me isn't totally correct.
I have an atlas at home, called the "historical atlas of the world of the Antike" (not the real name, its translated from german), which shows the borders and such things very exactly.
There is also another name in this region, called Choarene, but I couldn't find this name again anywhere, so I decided to take Hyrcania, which is much more important.
I tried to find this map in the net, sadly I can't find it.
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Hyrcania.PNG
Here you can see the whole area of Hyrcania, on another map.
(You can also read on Wikipedia about Hyrcania, or another thing, the so called "Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests", which are in the mountains south of the Caspian sea)
With Parthia, thats right. I just made it because some people asked for it.
Parthava is Parthia, so the only other name you can give to Parthava is Parthia, but this will bring you to the same problem CA must had faced, thus the name Parthava is the best option. Also if we really want to be correct and fit the historical time period maybe the faction we play with should be called Arsacid (which would have been best), or Parni, or be part of the Dahae. But since it will be called Parthia latter and give birth to the Parthian empire then it should be name so from the start.
However, finding the right information for this mod must be hard. I do not know much about other names but for "Parthava" I think you may have misunderstood why they called it so. On the Total War forum there is a thread that talks about it -- http://forums.totalwar.com/showthread.php/125170-parthia-parthava -- it explains it well. In the same time, it really depends on the quality of the map you look at, and to be honest the few good maps I found have Hyrcania on a position higher north than Parthia, so calling Parthava Hyrcania isn't correct. You can also look at older map, Persian for example.
The Bosporan Kingdom was greek, as I wrote in the description.
But they weren't the oldest people in Crimea. Before the greeks came there and founded their city-colonies there were already some indigenous tribes in this region, and even during the period of the Bosporan Kingdom, there was a Scythian kingdom in the west of the peninsula.
Putin 2014 "The oldest people in crimea are the greeks"
The Caspii lived between the rivers Cyrus and Araxes at the shore of the Caspian Sea. And of course, this sea is named after them.
Ardhan is the persian name for the Caucasian Kingdom Albania. But in 272, this Kingdom wasn't independent (Albania is also first mentioned around 80 BC). Another thing is, that the Kingdom of Albania wasn't centrally in the region, where it is set in Rome 2.
So its not working at the moment?
I will try to update it as soon as I can, maybe this weekend, but its hard to promise anything, because I have really many other things to do at the moment.
Would you mind if I first finish an other mod I am working on at the moment and especially to update some of my mods?
