In case you do not plan to update this for 1.6, could you please at least specify licence/permission so that somebody can continue this? Just including the source without a licence is not an automatic permission.

1.6 please :uprisingPower:

1.6?

Sorry for the question, just curiosity, have you plans for updating to 1.6?

Please considering adding a compatibility patch for the mod big and small.

With both mods, it's possible to have a pawn with the hulk body but small genes (which is ok), but the 'body size factor' from this mod won't be used when drawing the pawn.

Isn't parry chance somewhat reversed? Thin pawns have 95 and hulks have 120 chance to parry.
zeus57007 9 Sep, 2024 @ 9:51am
Wait, those stats for CE... Is this compatible with CE 1.4?!

After changing the bodytype from fat to feminin (standard) with Surgical Body Shaping (SBS) the "Fat" hediff persists
Rohzdear 31 May, 2024 @ 11:28am
How does this behave alongside FemaleBodyVariants? Will the new body variants for female be unaffected by the mod, or will they work alongside it?
bugsbony 2 May, 2024 @ 7:59am
@HTxL fixed thanks, I now get 100-120tps in spite of a new 25 pawns raid (I only play at 1x so as long as it's over 60 it's fine)
Evyatar  [author] 2 May, 2024 @ 1:58am
@bugsbony should be fixed now, can you check if it affects your perf now?
bugsbony 1 May, 2024 @ 7:26am
I didn't see anything interesting in the log, but here's a screenshot of the perf analyser, it was red last time though, maybe there was a few more pawns? https://ibb.co/g449Hjg
Evyatar  [author] 30 Apr, 2024 @ 9:01pm
@bugsbony interesting! I'll add caching for this method then soon so it will trigger only once in a while instead of each time
bugsbony 30 Apr, 2024 @ 8:47pm
Yes, removing only this one restored my tps, I was wondering why it was so slow for a few days. Trying to find a culprit in Dub's performance analyzer I found something about BTM_HealthScaleFactor. Of course maybe it's an interaction with my other 500 mods. Maybe I could add it back to check if there is anything in the log.
Evyatar  [author] 30 Apr, 2024 @ 8:11pm
@bugsbony this mod should be very lightweight, are you sure it's this mod?
bugsbony 30 Apr, 2024 @ 6:07pm
In my very heavily modded game this mod was very laggy, went from over 120 tps to 15~30 tps with ~20 human-likes in map.
bitmcm 17 Apr, 2024 @ 6:39am
@Kamikaze, it's damage-based. If a pawn gets punched twice in the leg and both punches amount to more hp than the leg has, the leg is gone. Dismemberments keep happening a lot in my colony because of this mod. I have a bunch of people with the aggressive trait so they're all the time punching people and they are all hulk sized xd
Evyatar  [author] 16 Apr, 2024 @ 3:50pm
@GVLT it's intentional since body size doesn't increase hunger enough
GVLT 16 Apr, 2024 @ 3:04pm
Used your mod for some dozen of hours, it seems that hulk are eating too much, because you both increased hunger rate and body size stat, which is in fact already increasing nutrition spent to survive.
Kamikaze 16 Apr, 2024 @ 12:31pm
bitmcm, i`m not a specialist, but dismemberment, imho - is a pure lottery. Once upon a time 1 big bug somehow managed to bite off 2 bionic arms from my pawn, in 2 bites. Mb because of CE, who knows, but it was a HUGE surprise, to say the least.
bitmcm 16 Apr, 2024 @ 7:18am
This mod is really cool but I think it should be balanced a bit or have settings to adjust variables. So far the last 3 social fights have resulted in 3 lost legs because they were of hulk against thin and it only takes two punches.
lmgginspace 15 Apr, 2024 @ 3:21am
Thanks a lot :) This mod may be simple in concept, but it surely adds very interesting deep to characters.
Evyatar  [author] 15 Apr, 2024 @ 1:55am
updated to 1.5

steadfast 12 Apr, 2024 @ 12:41am
1.5?
Zmetek 22 Mar, 2024 @ 12:37pm
GODDAMN you cant even imagine how long have I been praying for this
Frostiken 18 Feb, 2024 @ 1:18am
@Ted Bunny - It may just be because there's not a lot of perks to being a fat. Had to give them something, I guess.
Ted Bunny 18 Jan, 2024 @ 4:27pm
Just curious, why do Fat body types have better emotional regulation? All the other stats are spot on, and this is the only one that confused me.
Evyatar  [author] 6 Jan, 2024 @ 1:53pm
@ParasiticSquid which mods allow female body for males and vice versa?
ParasiticSquid 16 Dec, 2023 @ 9:57pm
@HTxL Could probably add a toggle to enable optional male and female body stats for people not using the sex matters redux mod. Or tie the stats from sex matters redux to the body itself instead of the gender if it already does.

Sounds redundant but with biotech and other mods that effect body or gender it's entirely possible to have a male pawn with a female body or a female pawn with a male body making the sex matter redux stats a bit odd compared to this if it's not already tired to body instead of gender. I haven't tested it myself and saw nothing clarifying if it was body based on the workshop page or purely gender only so for all I know im in the wrong and this comment was pointless due to it already doing that lol
EchoBlue 16 Dec, 2023 @ 10:55am
@HTxL thanks for responding ill check it out
Evyatar  [author] 16 Dec, 2023 @ 8:47am
@Nebula I'll consider it
Evyatar  [author] 16 Dec, 2023 @ 6:16am
@EchoBlue, this mod does not differentiate between male and female bodies in terms of gameplay mechanics. Both are treated as 'standard', meaning there are no associated bonuses or penalties.

If you're interested in a mod that incorporates differences based on the character's sex, I recommend checking out 'Sex Matters Redux'. This mod introduces various stat alterations tied to the sex of the character, and it is fully compatible with the current mod, allowing for cumulative effects of the stat changes.
EchoBlue 15 Dec, 2023 @ 10:09pm
what about male and female bodies?
Dewa 14 Dec, 2023 @ 10:56pm
Ah sweet
Evyatar  [author] 14 Dec, 2023 @ 12:20pm
@Dewa yup as Kokorocodon said, this is safe to install (and also remove) mid game
Kokorocodon 14 Dec, 2023 @ 5:03am
stat changes are usually safe to install mid-game
Dewa 13 Dec, 2023 @ 8:48am
Description doesn't mention anything about whether or not this is safe to install mid-game, so is it? Just making sure so i don't brick my save file(s)
Evyatar  [author] 12 Dec, 2023 @ 4:38pm
@Talonmaster As for balancing the body types, the aim isn't to make them all identical in power but to ensure each offers a unique gameplay experience. This approach keeps the game interesting and encourages players to try different strategies.

In my opinion, having a mod that makes certain types of pawns objectively worse than others is a bad design choice.

I'm always open to tweaking the mod based on player feedback, so if you have any cool ideas or suggestions, feel free to let me know.
Evyatar  [author] 12 Dec, 2023 @ 4:38pm
@Talonmaster, you're right about the Psychic Sensitivity and body size connection – it's not based on real-world logic. It's more about adding gameplay variety and giving each body type its own unique characteristics. The idea was to balance their physical traits with different strengths and weaknesses. It seemed logical in the game's context that people with more mass, whether from fat or muscle, would have less 'magic power' compared to skinnier individuals. This plays well with the physical ability debuffs that thin pawns have.
Talonmaster 12 Dec, 2023 @ 4:27pm
I don't see any good reasoning behind body size impacting Psychic Sensitivity besides throwing the thin bodytype a bone. Honestly a fair amount of these changes seem like stat padding or an effort to balance the different stat spreads which I think is unnecessary. Does it really matter if one is objectively better than the other?
Kokorocodon 12 Dec, 2023 @ 2:57am
fascinating stuff, It is something I've noticed too, but never imagined it to be an actual possiblity
Evyatar  [author] 12 Dec, 2023 @ 2:07am
@Kokorocodon I mainly implemented it to balance Fat pawns, and because in my experience overweight people are usually more chill.

But I actually do see there are some studies that might suggest that sort of thing:
https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/overweight-fat-obese-skinny-study-bmi-university-bristol-a8127381.html

"they also discovered that people who are overweight generally have a calmer state of mind, much to their surprise."
Kokorocodon 11 Dec, 2023 @ 3:32am
whats the science behind the improved emotional regulation on the faties?
Nebula 9 Dec, 2023 @ 8:13am
e.g. Hulk Body, Arrest Success Chance, size1 +10%, size2 +15%, size3 +20%...
Evyatar  [author] 9 Dec, 2023 @ 7:47am
@MichalPl111 true to that
Evyatar  [author] 9 Dec, 2023 @ 7:46am
@Nebula "Varied Body Sizes" has options to make it so the varied body size also affect stats, and it shouldn't conflict with this mod. Will probably add it here as a recommended complementary mod. Or did you mean something else?
