I have no idea when they will update, IF they will update, but for me personally I'm just looking at mods that don't require these dependencies. I am however using the other BM which is working fine with the DLC.
The updated version has just been released! (see mod description for a link)
Ofcourse you're welcome to try it out!
The new version is now available for friends-only.
If you want to participate in testing, please add me.
Cheers
Just to share some good news, I have recreated the Black market with most of the functionality working already and even added some new cool features and content. I also separated the Nightmare Mode (new enemies) from the Market and will be releasing that as a stand-alone mod sometime in the future.
I'm hoping to have a testable version ready soon. Anyone willing to playtest when the time is there, please add me :)
Cheers,
Lex
A little content spoiler:
Prettymuchblue will be happy to hear there's a config that'll let you set the Stat point value between 1 and 3 or even ban them from the Market entirely (for a slightly increased reroll cost)
Sadly it looks like I'll have to remake this mod pretty much from scratch, as so much has been changed. That means it'll take a while before I have an updated version ready, but I'll also have the opportunity to revisit the content, including the single stat Black market upgrades.
I do have a request, not sure how difficult it would be to add. Is it possible to add a slider for the black market stat upgrade amounts?
EX. change (gain 1 Ranged damage) to (Gain 3 Ranged damage) or whatever amount we choose
Reason being i have a hard time spending my Precious potatoes on a item that barely makes a difference for me in a run
Thank you <3 I'll probably work on this next after Witchery, but sadly cannot promise an eta
Hello Leroy_D,
I'm happy to hear that <3 haha I will ask my wife for this kind of motivation, thank you for the suggestion you wonderful manly man!
As you can see in the title and mod description, this mod is only compatible with v1.0.1.3, so not the newest version. It'll take a while before I get around to update this, as I have a very busy life and other mods to prioritize. Rest assured it's on my list to update.
Cheers,
Lex
The incompatibility stems from both mods touching the same function(s) with no consideration for the other mod. I've spent quite a few hours trying to figure out how to make it compatible (mostly with ItemSelling, love that mod), but have been unsuccessful.
Currently I'm preparing my mods for the update/DLC, which means I'll probably have to remake most parts of this mod. Hopefully they'll all be compatible with the next version of the game :)
You're very welcome and thank you for sharing your experience :)
I'm happy to hear that, as these powerful upgrades were meant to feel rewarding, and not a cheat. It also rewards taking risks, by playing higher difficulties, and skill by reaching higher waves/winning.
I'm sure some upgrades will be very strong on certain characters, but that's unavoidable and hopefully only adds to the fun when you get them haha
Hello azulius,
Thank you for pointing that out! This might apply to other mods as well. When in doubt, best to start a new run
Hello Ithy,
If I understand you correctly, you can decide to simply not buy any upgrades in the market when you're not doing a Nightmare Mode run. The permanent upgrades only apply to the Black Market, so they don't impact your game directly
Hmm I'd say Promotion is one of the best upgrades to purchase as early as possible. If you have a look in the description at "Calculation of Tokens earned" you can see the difference it makes. With just 1 Promotion upgrade, you'd double your income per wave when you're playing on D0.
For the wanted tags here [brotato.wiki.spellsandguns.com] you can read what the tags do. To see if they're actually added to your character, you could install this mod to check it.
Hope that helps!
No idea! I'm hoping you can tell me, I've never tried that mod.
Hahaha glad you figured it out!
Hello ade,
I'm still working on releasing the new enemies from NM mode as separate mods, not sure when it'll be finished. Be aware they're not supposed to be installed together with this mod though.
Not really, just play the game. :)
You should be able to see purple tokens at the end of a wave. Once you saved up 500+ there's a chance (base=5%) that the market will show up. All the specifics/details are here in the description.
If you're not receiving any tokens, it might be there's an incompatibility with another mod. Please check the incompatibilities in the description.
Sorry for the inconvenience! I'll add it to the description, so it'll hopefully be easier to figure out.
You may be right, it might have been better to release it separately, but it's too late now. The Nightmare mode is 100% optional though, so you can just ignore it if you don't want to try that. I do still plan on releasing the extra mobs as separate mods for those that don't like BM (or the incompatibilities that come with it), but do like the new enemies.
Happy to hear it's working for you. :)
I think the market is already providing quite a big list of boons, permanent stats would just be broken.
Hello ZOMBIECASH,
I'm not sure if map size is considered valuable enough to be available in the market. There's already a contraband that'll guarantee a Looter spawn every wave (Ensnare: limit of 3). Currently the only future plans I have for this mod is to add an Easter Egg. I do appreciate the suggestions though!
Hello Felix is a nice dude,
Sadly no. :(
I've spent many hours trying to find a way to make these 2 compatible, but no luck so far. I'm currently working on something else, but I've not quite given up yet.
One thing I think would be cool to add is permanent stat boosts. Just make them really expensive.
Liking the mod.
The market is a chance encounter, that has a base 5% chance to show up after a wave. Minimum of 500 tokens is required for it to show up.
Hello Rommelthedesertfox,
If you have min. 500 tokens and it hasn't shown up for 2 runs or something since then, I'd suspect there to be an incompatibility with another mod. If that's the case, please share your modlist in the BUGS discussion.
Maybe I can build in increasingly higher odds of finding a Market every time it doesn't show up. Sounds like a good idea, thank you:)
No worries, happy to hear the issue is fixed! I tried GMO and it works fine for me. Also I couldn't find any incompatibility with Undead samurai.
Anyway, hope you enjoy! Cheers
