easiest way to do it if you're editing rome is to use one of my or otherwise's mod file and just edit that :p also in case you're talking about just the flags the generals hold in campaign, that's one of the values for a faction colour table that can be edited in the pack file manager.
better off using packfilemanager instead of the official tools for this kind of mod, makes it easier!
Hope the info here helps someone ^-^
Might be a little trial and error with finding out which rgb colours what, but the names of the columns will probably help. I recommend for an aesthetic and only-purple scheme to mix it with blacks/whites/greys, and desaturated colours tend to look best. Good luck!
Could I trouble for a Purple Etruscan one? Or point me in the right direction to create one? I opened the mod in the file pack manager and it is nothing like adding or editing units.
Thank you!
thx
The colors of the Julii, Brutii and Scipii were probably correct. Also the reason that a lot of the legions were red in Gaul and other parts it was the cheapest dye at the time. Purple was the most expensive so high ranked soldiers would get it as a reward and rich people would wear it like today rich people ride in expensive cars.
Rome used a lot of different colors for her legions depending on what time-period, family and legion it was. Red is just most famous because of Ceaser and most the roman stuff shown on TV is about Rome and Gaul.
If you're up for it you just have to open the mod and change the 'db' colour tables to what you want (rgb colour values) and you can replace the 'banner' ui icon with the original gold colour by replacing it with the same file from the data_rome2.pack in the data folder.
