This is great for a playthrough that disables winds of magic so mages still have a role. The low fire rate is a good choice and mages already have the crazy range of artillery. If anything, I'd like to see the range reduced to pistol range considering how powerful the attacks are.

It's kinda strange using this chaos dragons on monogod heroes, it would be best to just limit them to undivided

Hi guys, zombie and chaos dragon mounts are now available for vampire necromancers and chaos sorcerers respectively. Both are dragon breath compatible.

you mean slaanesh chariot mounts? This one I was trying for a long time but for some reason couldnt get the animation to work.

This mod is great, but heroes firing rate is pathetic, and the range is laughable, i mostly play chaos, and the only good ranged hero is tzeentch exalted sorcs mounted on flying discs, i can just park them very fast behind enemy lines and forget about them, they also great single enty sniping.

Hey, incredible mod! Had some incredible fights, and honestly some of the best campaigns of my life utilising these sorcerers. But I've always wondered if Fimir Balefiends were on the 'to-do list', i really think the fimir have such a cool lore, but end up pretty underutilised, would also naturally be compatible with people using the overhauled Femir faction mod, as that draws from the vanilla balefiends (a mod i personally don't use, despite my love of fimir) but all the same, would love to see Fimir sorcery on this list.

Hi guys, great news. The tombs have awakened! Tomb Kings Liche Priests now can do multi-shot missiles, much like "guided casket of souls"

Hi guys, chaos daemons have been released and also added to this compilation.

Have also made some updates to the cathay and vampire coast, mainly that the plus features are included in the compilation as well (so no more differentiation between normal and plus ranged hero mods).

hmm... interesting approach. Will give it a shot. Tbh when I tried, the heroes I wanted to give the ranged hero treatment are Plague Priest and Eshin Sorcerer. The one with animation issue is plague priest. (eshin sorcerer works fine)

iirc when sfo (which I dont play much) did a ranged attack for skaven engineers it was basically the doomrocket skill, just somehow changed to be a passive ranged attack. idk if that helps you figure it out or not but figured i'd mention it.

Hi guys, the biggest update for SACRED Ranged Heroes (so far) is here -
8 races have their ranged hero animations updated to better match their status as casters.
3 of them - Lizardmen, Chaos and VC also see changes to their missiles to better match their overall race playstyle.
And the release of Wood Elf Spellsingers!

I originally wanted to add Skaven as the 13th ranged hero mod, but vanilla models and animations seem to have some issues that make the ranged attacks problematic. Perhaps that's part of the great horned rat's scheme...

No intention to incorporate ice court into the ranged hero series because the focus on that mod is more to make ice court heroes more "worthwhile" the 5 turn investment, with the ranged attack being secondary.

Hi. For animations, different models have different available sets of animations, thats why sometimes I have to resort to less optimal animation. However, now that I have learnt how to repurpose casting animations to missile attack via the Dragon Breath mod, I am working to update the animations when I can find the time, possibly a race at a time.

I was looking at the animations of the wizard when they fire off their magic missile it looks like you used a rifle animation this is kind of just a suggestion but I think it would look better if you kept with a sword and staff and just use the animation when they are firing off the big spells and have the bolt just fly from them at that point

hmm... if its purely reskin mod I think it should work. But some re-skin mods also change animation, might not work as animations affects land_units_table.

Interesting suggestion. :steamhappy: Yes it would be possible, though I am not sure about how the stats ought to be for now. More importantly, many of these "pistol/arrow" heroes already have mods (ie. engineer skill mod, etc), so good chance will have "mod clash". Let me think about it.

Thank you for this mod. Ive always said that wizards should have some sort of range cantrip or something.

So that they dont feel devalued, is it possible to add a magic attack to pistol wielding casters (like vampire coast and chorfs)?

I need to test this, It's looking nice having caster doing something useful even when winds are low or when conserving magic for a big cast. Thanks for your work !
