Worst case scenario, I will remove it from the Tunnels as well, or release the brighter version of this lighting option.
The original XComMaps.ini had that line in twice, once under ;Tunnels (Subway or Sewer) and once under ;Abandoned City (Nighttime Maps)
The first copy is still there in the update, I don't see any [Section headings] in the .ini so I assume the game will still add it to the pool.
- Set the dark foggy night lighting map for the Lost missions as disabled by default.
(Map Name: XP_LE_Shell_AC_Lost)
If you want to re-enable it, add the following line to the XComMaps.ini config:
+arrEnvironmentLightingDefs=(MapName="XP_LE_Shell_AC_Lost", eEnvLighting[0]=eEnvLighting_Night, eTimeOfDay=eTimeOfDay_Night, eMood=eMood_Normal, eWeatherCondition=eWeatherType_Clear, arrPlotTypes[0]="Abandoned")
- New lighting maps were added to Abandoned (Lost) levels.
- "Rain" lighting option was removed from Tunnels due to shadow problems. Sorry for the inconvienience.
I wonder, could it be possible to do a similar mod where you grab the Tunnel lighting, and add that to the Subway maps? imo, the subway maps actually have some of the worse lighting for photobooth purposes, and that would be a nice to have. :)
Love the work, love the idea, love the execution! They really feel like entirely new maps, just from the pics alone! Thank you again for creating this mod!
It's all config-based, so the following should do the trick:
Use this one setting per config line for the specific lighting type:
arrPlotTypes[0]="Tunnels_Sewer"
instead of this:
arrPlotTypes[0]="Tunnels_Subway", arrPlotTypes[1]="Tunnels_Sewer"
