AML is needed because every mod has a boolean the determines if it's mean to be used with the WotC expansion. Most mods only work with or without that DLC. If 'RequiresXPack' is set to 'true', the mod only works with the expansion. If it's 'false' it's mean to work without the expansion.
But voice mods are an exception, they can work with both as long as the mod is set up in a specific way. The short explanation is that if the boolean is set to 'false', then the mod will work both with and without the expansion DLC. The only problem is, the newest official launcher for the game completely ignores mods that have the boolean set to 'false' and just doesn't load them if you own the DLC, even if you have the mod enabled.
Alternative Mod Launcher doesn't have this flaw. It loads all mods that you have enabled.
Also, I'm not the only voice modder that does this.
How come every other mod including voice mods dont require a seperate launcher, but this mod does?
Anybody that's having issues with the voices not showing, just download AML from the github link posted at the top of the page, and it should work for you.
Since I cannot tell if you are trolling, this entire string of text has been embedded with the link for AMLs github page so you cannot possibly miss it. Upon clicking anywhere on said text, your default browser will open, and you will see the latest release for AML, that being 'v1.5.1'. Once there, you will click 'XCOM2_AlternativeModLauncher_1.5.1.zip' near the bottom of the page. This will cause the zip file for AML to start downloading. Once finished, open your 'Downloads' folder in Windows, and extract the contents of said zip file anywhere. You will then run the 'XCOM2 Launcher.exe' file to start the program known as 'Alternative Mod Launcher'. [github.com]
That line is intentionally set to 'false' so that users without WotC are able to use the mod, and I'm far from the only modder that does this. I will say it again, if you download and use AML, then the mod works fine without even needing to edit anything in the mod directory.
Knowing C# is indeed impressive, but I would also consider investing in spelling and grammar courses so that your text comments are actually comprehendable. I don't know if English is your native language, but those might help a bit.

do you feel dumb now bc if i made this mod and that all it took to fix it i would feel dumb if it only took 2 line in the XCOMEWVoices.XComMod to fix a major issue
Considering AML is still working fine for me and many others, it seems like this is a you-specific problem and that you should post it in the 'issues' section on github.
That doesn't mean the launcher you're using right now wasn't made by Firaxis. I can't help you if you refuse to listen. You have to download and use AML from the github link to get the mod to work. That, or use the 'Original Mod Launcher' in the launch options for the game.
OK.

Since you are incapable of clicking a github link, I guess I'll just have to provide an image of what AML actually looks like to prevent the rampant spread of misinformation.

That's not AML dude, that's one of the many failed attempts at a launcher from 2K and/or Firaxis
If you click the github link, you'll notice that it's not the same thing.
AML is made by the player community not 2K or Firaxis. It's made by people who use mods for people who use mods.
Not sure what you mean by this. You could still use the AML even before Firaxis got rid of the 2K Launcher.

Everyone needs Bonnie in their game.
Thanks for the mod, Ayser, love the variety it brings and the care you apply to your voice packs.

Basically, downloading it will make dialogue play more often and ensure that none of it will be unused. I should have specified in the description, sorry.
