XCOM: Enemy Unknown Soldier Voices

Description
--->THIS MOD REQUIRES ALTERNATIVE MOD LAUNCHER FOR WOTC USERS<---[github.com]

TL;DR
This mod adds the 15 American English voices from XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Overview
  • 15 American English voices (9 male, 6 female)
  • ~850 lines for each voice
  • Individually adjustable volume for each voice via a config file
  • Cooked
  • Support for almost all Voice Patcher events. I highly recommend downloading the mod >here<.
  • Works with base-game and WotC, Voice Patcher only supports WotC
  • Voices unaffected by attitudes.
  • Support for normal soldiers by default. Faction soldiers must be enabled in the config.
  • The voices can randomly appear on normal soldiers.

Detailed Explanation
Not much to say here. Took the original voices and modified them to better suit XCOM 2's voice events.

This mod contains a great deal of originally unused dialogue from EU. As far as I'm aware, this mod is the first time that any of it can be heard in an actual gameplay setting. Combining this with a bit of dialogue re-organizing and recontextualization, there's now special dialogue for Hacking, Concealment, Evac, any and all attack-related abilites, and more despite technically not having equivalent actions in EU.
This also extends to abilites that aren't even covered in XCOM 2s base-game. Thanks to Voice Patcher, there's also special dialogue for melee attacks, Demolition, Holotargeters, Double Tap (Long War), and much more.

Q&A
What about the voices for Zhang, Annette, and Van Doorn?
XCOM Legacy Voices Redux.

And the voices from the original Long War mod?
Long War Voices Complete.

And the English MEC voices and Blue Shirt voices?
XCOM: Enemy Within Voices.

How do I make a voicepack?
You can try >this guide<.

AML is needed because every mod has a boolean the determines if it's mean to be used with the WotC expansion. Most mods only work with or without that DLC. If 'RequiresXPack' is set to 'true', the mod only works with the expansion. If it's 'false' it's mean to work without the expansion.

But voice mods are an exception, they can work with both as long as the mod is set up in a specific way. The short explanation is that if the boolean is set to 'false', then the mod will work both with and without the expansion DLC. The only problem is, the newest official launcher for the game completely ignores mods that have the boolean set to 'false' and just doesn't load them if you own the DLC, even if you have the mod enabled.

Alternative Mod Launcher doesn't have this flaw. It loads all mods that you have enabled.

Also, I'm not the only voice modder that does this.

I really want this voice pack but i aint downloading your little aml launcher just to run one mod.

How come every other mod including voice mods dont require a seperate launcher, but this mod does?

Since I'd rather not disable comments on this mod, I'm just going to delete any further comments from VS-lockon, or anything that says the mod doesn't work because of something related to Firaxis's garbage launcher.

Anybody that's having issues with the voices not showing, just download AML from the github link posted at the top of the page, and it should work for you.

That line is intentionally set to 'false' so that users without WotC are able to use the mod, and I'm far from the only modder that does this. I will say it again, if you download and use AML, then the mod works fine without even needing to edit anything in the mod directory.

Knowing C# is indeed impressive, but I would also consider investing in spelling and grammar courses so that your text comments are actually comprehendable. I don't know if English is your native language, but those might help a bit.
