@Nafetz16 I'm fine with that. Checked it out and the mod looks an objective improvement.

Alright here is my mod with extra options: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3490217671

@Skoobeldoobel Since my mod builds on yours and the original mod, I’ve linked to both of them. Would you consider adding a link to my mod as well? Of course, I understand if you’d prefer not to.

@Dabrick Sure, I don't mind answering questions. I accepted your friend request
Nafetz16 29 May @ 4:48pm
@Dabrick Ah I see what happaned, I added a trigger to control which subjects can form nations and since that trigger is always true if the country isn't a subjec the problem doesn't arise. I will probably release my version tomorrow, I'd be grateful if you could take a look at it and report any problems.
Dabrick 29 May @ 12:55pm
@Nafetz16 Look at the "potential" conditions. It contained `OR = { ai = no }` which means, only human players can ever form nations. Basically the fix was to just delete that.
Nafetz16 29 May @ 12:43pm
I checked the changes and it seems I fixed the bug without even knowing lol.
Nafetz16 29 May @ 12:11pm
I'm currently making a fork of this mod with options to allow only certain subjects to fom nations. I didn't copy the most recent fix. What was changed?
Luís 29 May @ 10:32am
I tought it wasn't working since i was playing a custom nation, but i left the mod open just in case. In glad that it is fixed.
Dabrick 29 May @ 6:48am
And actually I'm brand new to EU4 modding so I'd love to add you if you wouldn't mind me picking your brain a bit about an original mod I'm working on
Dabrick 29 May @ 6:46am
Yeah I had the same issue. Only humans could form nations.

I assumed this was just abandoned, so I made that fork. But I'm glad you pushed the same fix for all these folks lol
skoobeldoobel  [author] 28 May @ 8:57pm
Alright, so I just pushed a fix.

Kind of baffled that the mod had 2k subscribers, and only one guy pointed out that the entire mod didn't work lmao
skoobeldoobel  [author] 28 May @ 8:33pm
@Dabrick Nice. For some reason steam didn't notify me of Daes' comment, so I didn't even know this mod didn't work. Quick check in my code based on what Daes said, I can immedietaly see the problem with ai being set to 'no'.

You mention that it also didn't work for you. I'm guessing it also stemmed from the same issue?
Dabrick 28 May @ 6:07pm
This mod did not work for me. I figured out why and so I fixed it and uploaded a fork of this mod that works to the workshop here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3488982964

I also fixed this issue that Daes mentions in the comment below me.
Daes 21 Apr @ 4:41pm
After the mod, countries did NOT become vassals, they stopped forming nations, I just checked Castile, England, Florence, Poland and muscovy, only russia was formed, not Spain from Castile, not Britain, not Italy, and not the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
XxlonewolfxX 18 Mar @ 10:24am
could you make a seperate update that adds colonial nations that can do this please
skoobeldoobel  [author] 27 Feb @ 10:03am
@𝓢𝓷𝓸𝔀 ℬ𝓪𝓵𝓵 Because colonial countries founding their free counterparts (like thirteen colonies founding the united states) look kind of ridiculous
why no colonies?
Raccoon General 26 Feb @ 3:34pm
Ah bummer, brilliant Idea though, Definitely using this
skoobeldoobel  [author] 26 Feb @ 2:08pm
@Raccoon General No, only works for vanilla nations
Raccoon General 25 Feb @ 7:40pm
Does this work for Anbennar?
Scullex 17 Feb @ 10:39am
who knew that guy would never update the mod, well thanks for doing this
Who_ci 20 Nov, 2024 @ 9:20am
Some tags can't form new countries. It says it needs to be non-tributary or independent.
In my case is BSM (Banu Sulaym) i don't know if this tag is vanilla or modded.
Who_ci 15 Nov, 2024 @ 9:17am
Yes i know how to annex them. Thanks you skoobeldoobel! :reimu_a:
skoobeldoobel  [author] 15 Nov, 2024 @ 7:40am
@Who_ci Yeah I just checked, and apparently I accidentally included Texas as one of the modified formables. It's removed now. As for your current save, yeehaw I guess lmao. If you really want to fix it, you can use the console to annex your Texas, which I think will immediately release it as a regular California colony again
Who_ci 14 Nov, 2024 @ 11:00pm
This happened with California and it's my subject, it's now Texas!
skoobeldoobel  [author] 14 Nov, 2024 @ 7:06pm
@Who_ci Which nations do they form specifically? This mod doesn't change the conditions for colonial nations like the united states of brazil, so if they're still a subject that shouldn't happen
Who_ci 13 Nov, 2024 @ 1:34pm
Colonies are forming nations.
