My helis are crashing at ANY event site, such as police situation and and bonfire locations. Is there a setting for this? It's not terrible, as it does add some randomness, but is there a way to make it only crash at heli sites, or have I dorked up the settings?

It doesnt work if you have vehicles that can crash into trees and knock them over, I guess. Cant use this mod since I have RUSForma. If anyone at all finds a fix for this PLEASE let me know because this is a fantastic mod.

@wyrez add steamProtocolMaxDataSize = 4000; to your serverdz.cfg file. It will allow you more than the limit of 33

I can also confirm that since the 1.28 update, when trees are hit during a heli crash or an airstrike, the server crashes instantly.

Yeah, your mod needs an update probably. I've been running a DayZ server with over 100 mods, and during testing we've experienced consistent crashes after several hours of uptime. After analyzing the crash logs and script warnings, we've identified your mod as a likely source of instability. Error: Access violation. Illegal read at 0xE4 Crash Log Trace:
Illegal read by 0x7ff642b5f522 → usually indicates a dereferenced null pointer or invalid memory access.

These issues strongly suggest that something in the mod is improperly handling memory, class references, or casting which may cause heap corruption or access violations on live servers. The crash happens without player interaction, indicating it may be related to a background script or looped process.

®Psyern® There currently is no support to using other helicopters other than the ones from my mod. The scripts that control the flight and crash animations are only handled from my specific helicopter types. With the way it is scripted it would be difficult to support other custom models without having to create custom scripts for each of those different models.

@Sylens THE CLASSNAME IS "Land_Missile_Launcher"

You can place them in map using DayZ Editor or similar methods, there is also an option in the config that will spawn them in the map by adding the coordinates for them to the list for the missile launchers.

@robyncoxxx8 If you're refering about how to update a mod on your server then that depends on your server provider, check their website for help. If you are refering about how to update on your PC then try "repairing/validating" the mods from the launcher. Or unsubscribe then resubscribe to mod.

@Lt.Silvan This mod uses the quantmin/quantmax from the typs.xml to determine item quantity. Make sure your modded ammo is added correctly to the types.xml, values must be set to 1-100 and not -1 or 0. You can still use custom modded types.xmls as long as they're added to the cgfeconomycore.xml correctly.

Thanks man. Very cool work. Looking forward to the changes or additions. I've been asking around trying to get the override code for you, so you can add PVP zones (PVEZ mod) when the heli hits the ground. In PVE players exploit others work and steal the loot. Because no pvp zone they cant fight back.

@McBrutal Thank you for the feedback. That isn't a bug, just something I missed. I accidentally left it that way after testing the changes I made to loot spawns on the last update. I have corrected this in the next update. I am currently still working on the update as it includes new content and features and will release it when it is ready.

So far everything is working great since the patch. I did see one issue. All the loot seems to be stacked on the corner of the heli up by the cockpit. Any way to spread it out?

@psyopgirl Yes, it is looking like it resolved the client crashing issue. I announced in my discord that tentative date for upcoming new content update is 24th of March. Might be released earlier if I am satisfied with results of testing prior to then.

@El Chapo fr76 Maybe do your due diligence of reading and you would have seen that the random crash is caused by a DayZ bug and not from this mod. I posted the ticket link in the description and explaination.

The DayZ devs announced a hotfix being implemented in the experimental version but I don't know when it will be released in the stable version.

@bobmtrigg The crashes are 100% due to Dayz 1.27 bug. The MI8 crash for this mod is a custom object that is NOT related or inherited from the vanilla crash object... It is only using the same .p3d model that still exists in DayZ so that would have nothing to do with the crashes. There is literally very little I can do other than wait for BI to fix this bug. My only other option is to re-write the scripts removing all physics which would create much more work and it most likely wouldn't be worth it just to have to revert once the bug is fixed. I'm am still working on a temporary alternative just so that the mod would at least be functional without the bug causing crashes, but it's taking time.

the new sounds are awesome but the mi8 heli crash keep killing my server. i heard both crashes were responsible for the server crashes but for me its just the mi8. is it because the devs removed the mi8 wreck from the game? or just the update in general thats causing the crashes?

@Dyson well each sound is from each particular aircraft model type now and the old one was just a random sound that I found so can't get much more realistic than that... lol.
