Hi, I change the variable WalkerSpeedManager.SwimmingPenalty ( source [github.com]). Feel free to use, copy or add dependencies anyway you want :)

I recently added this note:
Note: please change the value only once per game. If you need to change it again, please restart the game to take effect.

i.e., at the main menu, set the value, then enter your game. If you need to change again, restart the game (the whole app, not just Reload a save)

Maybe that's the issue?

I just wish they seemed to more obviously go faster? Even putting the number up ludicrously high doesn't seem to do much lol

this makes os much sense... going through water should not only lighten the load, but also enable their awesome tails to help them move... will literally change the way i create my city and actually make this game more realistic to my beaver needs... appreciate the share buddy!

If anyone is interested in the technicality of why that's the case, I wrote about it in this Modding Guide: https://datvm.github.io/TimberbornMods/ModdingGuide/modding-basics (search for Warning).

TLDR: just restart the game is the sure way to apply the number if you were already in game.

Ah sorry I discovered that changing the value only work once a game. So when you change it, please change in the Main Menu and then restart the game to take effect. You don't need a new save.

Not sure if this is working, or at least the ability to change the settings isn't working. Does it require a new game to take effect?

I'm able to start the game now, so it works now. Even though i tested the mods individually it may have been another mod interfered with it, but that unknown mod got updated late yesterday.

@Johannes could you check to make sure it's this mod's fault? I have been testing this mod and found no issue with it and it's working fine. Make sure to disable all other mods and only leave Mod Settings + this mod on please.
