If you have no issue with it - then not use it.
At least I can't see the significant changes in related part of code ...
But testing is simple - set appropriate order for your ships fleet, enable replacement, and then destroy one subordinate ...

Just something to mention, not sure if its relevant, but ships only need to be filled with 50% crew members for their max bonus.

"Dummy crew" sounds like they don't have a job. It is possible for crew to be aboard a ship that do not have a job-- only ways i know this is caused in the course of play is by picking up escape pods or by capturing a ship which either already has prisoners, or by beating a yaki boarding party to the ship. (the boarders wind up as prisoners, who are essentially jobless crew)

Basically,
I've noticed that when the Lost Ships Replacement is enable, the M and L ships it produces don't have any crew beyond the pilot. To make matters worse you're unable to add crew to the ship because the game for whatever reason thinks the's already crew on it despite there clearly being more than enough room. Growing tired of this I took a look into my and found that the reason for this is there is a butch of dummy crew filling up the crew slots.

It's independent from a ships... It's slightly changed some order aiscripts ...
Only trying to use will answer.
But the diff is applied is small, and has high probability to be applied

Yeh, I found this issue when did the adoption my Protect Sector order.
And yes - it was strange for me too.

Bruh, they make an awesome most needed feature and it doesn't work by default on the very usecases you would need it? (hands off fleet that you forget about)
