If you dont have NSC you just dont have all tec and shipclassed added by NSC

Means everything beeing there by the basegame is working as normal.
the rest just doesnt load

Okay, I need to know because I keep seeing a lot of NSC shipsets, and I don't play with NSC.

If I download this, and don't have NSC, what happens?

I just did check both shipsets. That seems not to be an issue of this mod.
i think you have something else overwriting the deep space citadels :)

no sorry shot. if its not an existing shipset i sadly cannot do that. I have no idea how to important completly new models

I'm not sure if it's some mod conflict but the deep space citadels have no model, not even a default one just the x y z box, any chance that could be fixed?

Long shot but I was wondering if you could do a shipset based on the UNSA/SDF from COD: Infinite Warfare? The designs are some of the bestIve seen in space related games and would fit perfectly into Stellaris.

Just don't download NSC than. Than you can play it :)
You just wont have additional NSC3 Ships. If you get errors, i guess only because he dont finds use for them. That shouldnt usually happen.
Usually you can play all my mods also without NSC3

what should I do if I want to play this mod without the NSC stuff.
Do I need to modify some files or can I just not download NSC and the game will be fine and not throw errors ?

@Fran As you know, the dev was 70% done on the mod but then gave up, I can try to give you social media & his website links in order to try to get in contact with him & ask if he would be willing to make public/handover the assets he already made so you can complete the mod. Ps. The guy is Martechi, the same guy who made the Kugelraumer Shipset.

Yeah, what had happened is that I need all the .asset files to mess with te scales, and I just took all of the files from both your patch and the original mod, and I just wasn't sure which one was the right one.

@DisasterAhead. Happend on the Escortcarrierfile. Forgot to remove a leftover workfile
Not sure wich version of my patch you use but i couldnt find two carrier files. Just two escortcarrier files. Maybe redownload and check again?

The Original Mod had Carrier files also so my Patch sur overwrites their files. To make sure it does that the first letters are zz_navalships so they overwrite navalships.

In my patch alone you should only find zz_ files

Ok, quick question, whats the difference between the files marked, to use carriers as an example, navalships_01_carrier_entities.asset and zz_navalships_01_entities_carrier.asset?

I presume the second one is meant to be a backup/optional file of some kind, I just can't figure out what it does as compared to the first one

Tested a quick fix by adding the relevant entries to those two files and I do believe this is what the Defense Platform Hangar Section is supposed to look like!

Correction: There is a .mesh file for the defense platform hangar section but the corresponding entries appears to be missing in both the navalships_01_defplat_entities.asset file and the navalships_01_defplat_meshes.gfx file

Now if I'm not misremembering there was a unique model for the Hangar Section for Stellar-Naval Shipset it's just not using the current naming convention in the .asset file for the Defense Platform Hangar Section. If not you could rescale the Starbase's Hangar section as a standin. There also might be a model for the Defense Platform Hangar Section in the download of original files the author has a link to on the mod's page

Ok I'll try to explain, in these screenshots of the defense platform I'm changing the right Section to demonstrate. So these three have the Stellar Naval shipset Sections:

Now this one has the standard mammalian Section model rather than a Stellar Naval shipset Section model:

Now the Defense Platform itself is fine and correct but IIRC sometime after the last update for the Stellar-Naval Shipset paradox changed the naming scheme only for the "Hangar" Section, so it broke the Hangar Section on older mods forcing them to use the Fallback that was set for the shipset.

@Railgunner It should be fixed. I didnt notice any Stuff appearing inside of Mining and Science Station but i made sure to add an updatet entry to make sure.

The build-frame for the Starbase i didnt fix. To be honest i kinda like it for this shipset that its first a box, until the Construction ship builds it to a full Outpose-Base

I did also Checked the Hangar Stuff, i couldnt find Vanilla Stuff appearing. To show you i added some new screenshots, so you see that all turrets are working fine with a skinned version. Also full upgraded starbase has also no vanilla Stuff appearing

Thanks for reporting it. If still stuff appears to be Vanilla, do me a facour and send me a screenshot so i know what you mean.

@DisasterAhead after i checked again the set i noticed again that there is already a Downscaled Shipset. Only messing with my head is the habitat at the moment with its size. I don't know it you need to patch for Downscaled anymore, since its downscaled itself. But you can take a look. If its not necessary to patch it, i guess its better for all to just have it here included so noone needs to check always for patch after patch

Thank you for this!! A few minor bugs I've noticed, first the defense platform hanger module is the default mammalian one, I can't recall if their was a unique one in the original but the large weapon module would work well as a stand-in. Second is that the research station seems to be overlapping the mammalian version. Third and last for the moment is that the build-up frame for the outpost is the default mammalian one. Thanks for keeping this oldie but a goodie going!
