hello I figure how to somewhat make my own unit for rome2 using the sh*tty pfm program. My question how do i add "looks" like could i use the assembly kit for the what i want then paste that into the unit i have? and if so how do i do so?

could you make a separate mini mod where the spartans only wear corinthians? i'd do it myself but i have very little modding experience. BTW this is one of the best sparta mods ive seen i love their linothoraxes

Was kinda frustrating when I got to recruit Korinthian Hoplites and got a whole 2, plus 2 generals. : ( Why would I want to use those crap regular hoplites as the bulk of my army. Kind of a let down.

With how sad the unit diversity is in Wrath of Sparta this is a much needed mod. If you ever add anything to this you should consider the Kretan Archers going to the factions of Crete, or at least the Minoans. The unit is already in the game as mercenaries so it should be easy. Why CA thought that "Cretan" Archers should be absent from all of the factions in control of "Crete" is beyond me.

I've really been enjoying this mod and the diversity to the rosters that it adds but I just have one quick question. In my opinion your reskin of the original hoplites for each faction makes it much, much harder to distinguish between troops during a fight. what db file would I need to edit to just revert those particular hoplite unit skins back to vanilla? everything else is great but the hoplite reskins have been somewhat irritating for me

Might I suggest adding Mercenary Tarantine Cavalry as well? They were quite popular as mercenaries during the Peloponnesian War and beyond in Greece. Scythian Horse Archers might be another mercenary unit to add, as they're known to have been used by Athens at least.

Regarding the Spartan swords unit, I suggest modelling them after the Krypteia. According to Plutarch, they were apparently used as a reconnaisance force by the Spartans, as well as serving as the Spartan secret police. They also were apparently chosen from only the very best of the Agoge students. So, going off of that, perhaps a heavy sword unit with guerilla deployment and a tight unit cap?

Sadly, I've been able to find nothing on the Conrinthian military, and the only things I'm seeing for the Boetian League is the Theban Sacred Band and their cavalry force.

Of course it's ok, mod away! Like I said though, I don't even have any clue how you'd do it to be honest, or else I'd probably had done it already. It's a complicated thing since there's nothing like it in vanilla. You couldn't use the default pikemen set up as the animations there are completely off, so you'd probably have to make a new unit ability that's basically what the vanilla pike formation is except with normal spears. But personally I don't know how to do that but I think that's where you should go digging.

Afraid doing that is a very complicated procedure. And trust me, I really didn't want to make a spartan sword unit but it was the only thing people constantly requested so I figured I might as well. With the cap they have on them and all I think it's bearable. At least for me.

instead of the spartan heavy swords which sparta never had just a sword unit... could you not have put the spartan hoplites ect to use a secondary sword when not in phalanx or enemies get to close

Hi I've really enjoyed your mod. Could you show a few screen shots of how you changed the faction skins. Not all the units, just for example old vanilla Athenian Hoplites vs. your modded skins for Athenian hoplites, and old Spartan Hoplites vs. Your Spartan Hoplites etc. Excellent mod though thanks!

I really don't mean to be rude but I've told you three times already that I will look into the stats of the light hoplites. I've made no promises to edit the vanilla skiritai and neither will I. There are other more significant things I want to address. Now I would appreciate it if you stopped making specific requests/suggestions about the same thing over and over and let me work on the mod, rather than answer the same question time and time again.

Aquizar is my guy for screenshots and he's doing a good job at it. Once he can I'm sure he'll get to making new unit cards for the new units. Until then, thank you but no thanks.

Thanks for the effort but Messenians already have a unit card and I'm happy with it.

I've dropped the Thespian, Messenian and Korinthian hoplites to be available at level 3 and 4 barracks instead of just 4. That's how I thought I had it set up but looks like I goofed it up at some point. Should be correct now.

Nice work mate. I have one request. Can you change a little recruiting of Corinthos to bring variety to their roster earlier? Now most of your units are really only for later game. I think that this would be a bit better (just my opinion):
Korinthian Marines - Hoplite Barracks level 2
Korinthian Hoplites - Hoplite Barracks level 3
Armoured Korinthian Marines - Hoplite Barracks level 4
- Moreover, I would be very grateful If you can increase stats of Light Hoplites and Skiritai (and for Skiritai ability to stalk) as we were talking before - now these are really unnecessary units.

No this mod does not use ancient colours. I've redone all the faction colours myself. If you are using Ancient colours, that might overrule my changes. The colour I picked for the Boiotian league is pretty mild and I'm happy with it. Probably won't change it.

it´s not pink exactlly, but even with ancient colors ( becouse i think your overhaul don´t have this mod or similar ) i still see a dark pink/purple on boetian league units...they don´t look real, in terms of realistic colors, you have plans for that? nice to see you here again dude! =) always love your work, i want to see what you could do with that when you are come back!

Sorry for the slow progress folks. I'm afraid I wont have Persia unlocked and reskinned in time before I'll be leaving agan for a few days but I have made some new units that people have been asking about. Can you guess what? (http://i.imgur.com/6EOZHn5.jpg)

I'll be posting that and another unit up in not too long, then I'll be off until the 1st/2nd ish. Once I'm back I'll get back to working on Persia. I've been given a ton of assets to use by Ahiga and his buddy Kuuaik that will provide lots of new stuff for Persia. So look forward to that. Thanks for that mod sire! that make playable this campaign ( with ancient colours of course) it´s like DEI for me, they are working in the next update and don´t have time to touch that mini-campaign, so i apreciate your work on a little bit of historical inmersion and variety on unit types, an also in models too. Thanks, if you have plans to continue this, you should contact with DEI team, show them your work, and maybe when the team revamp that mini campaign and units, etc they use your work in the supreme overhaul for historical lovers and hard players =) it´s just an idea! you are a good modder! one more time, thanks for all!

Haven't gotten around to really updating the whole file description just yet, but i'll get around to it eventually.

It doesn't overhaul the WHOLE game though as you said. I've quite consciously and properly limited the changes to things only from the WoS campaign, nothing else has been modified. But stats are still being tweaked back and fourth so nothing is set yet. Still trying to find the sweet spot for most things.
