No, not really. There 's always going to be another person who wants a another version. This is not ment to be rude, not at all, but tomorrow someone might ask for a version with 300 men/unit. I would do all this but unfortunately I am running out of upload space. Please give me a very good reason why I should make vanilla size version and I will think about it.
SuperGorp 31 Jan, 2016 @ 10:10am
You got any plans to do a unit/building only version, without the extra sizes.
Hackenschrecker 30 Jan, 2016 @ 3:15am
Very Good Mod, my false for the critic. Keep it up!

@Regnator. Sorry, how may I contact you in order to do that? I'm just interested in keeping how main republican units looks like from "Roman Storical Reskin" mod. Thanks in advance.
REGNATOR  [author] 23 Jan, 2016 @ 11:38am
It should. I've tested it myself some time ago (my other mod, mentioned in description, but it 's the same system) and it worked. That means no conflict. This mod gives you, however, a complete overhaul of the vanilla units and that means that those vanilla units could either look like Radious' version or like mine. If you have PackFileManager you can easyly delete the definitions you like less (free dowload on internet). I 'm always willing to explain how to do this in a chat mode.
Gabenfoodle 23 Jan, 2016 @ 9:22am
Does this work with Radious?
REGNATOR  [author] 22 Jan, 2016 @ 5:01pm
This mod gives an almost complete overhaul of the vanilla units and many new units are added. It should not change the appeariances of units from other mods
olemaagencia 22 Jan, 2016 @ 2:56pm
ps. I don't try to offend. Your job is very good, I use it roman generals and others generals, and I like this one but the way republican units looks, takes me down.
olemaagencia 22 Jan, 2016 @ 2:54pm
Ave! Does your mod deals also with the look of some unites, besides generals? It happens to me with republican roman units and actually I'm very happy with "Roman Storical Reskin" mod, focused mosltly into republican era.
GRANADIUS 22 Jan, 2016 @ 10:32am
i love you <3:steamhappy:
REGNATOR  [author] 20 Jan, 2016 @ 11:06am
You have to download 'AVE_ROMAN_UNITS' as well ! That is the mod that give you the textures and definitions of the units. I wrote this in my mod description.

And I just forgot to mention that seeing a unit as a cohort could depict larger fights, for example battles involving more legions; in fact that was hugely realistic IMHO. Thank you.
Jesus Loves You^_^ 20 Jan, 2016 @ 2:24am
But in your case a maniple have less men than in reality. Mine is more manageable and give a lot more ''space'' for units in an army...And for disembarking I guess ave_gigas transport could deal with that.....I do not encounter problem with the walls tough....
REGNATOR  [author] 19 Jan, 2016 @ 1:29pm
A cohort is indeed the sum of 3 maniples and the romans had 10 cohorts in their legion. I see a unit as a maniple, not a cohort ! The romans had thus 31 of those maniples, the first cohort mostly had one maniple extra. I do this because units up to 480 men are not manageable, they are hard to manoevre and most important they most definitely give much problems with garding the walls and disembarking.
Jesus Loves You^_^ 19 Jan, 2016 @ 3:57am
Thank you for this good work. But I remain on mine: 1 cohort=480 men. It exists mods which can give us such numbers, ex. 3x unit size.....
REGNATOR  [author] 18 Jan, 2016 @ 1:05pm
That might be a little too much honor for me, but thank you very much for your comment. I 'm glad to hear you also think that way about unit size. Much appreciated !
Raoule 18 Jan, 2016 @ 12:23pm
Salve^^ Thats THE "ultimate" answer. Im sure nobody ask something about numbers again... xD
greetz from germany for one of the best mod creator in this workshop!
REGNATOR  [author] 18 Jan, 2016 @ 3:30am
A real roman legion was made out of 31 maniples (they call them cohorts in game), but there were also a lot of auxilliary troops. All together a legion had about 8000 to 9000 men, in some cases even more. The best way to muster such a legion is by my mod 'AVE_ROMAN_UNITS_125_150'. Romans then have 200men/unit infantry, other factions 240men/unit. That is because AI can only recruit 41 units. Both then have 9000 men. The mod with all factions having 240 men/unit was created for the subscribers to be able to play with other factions and still have those massive armies.
The cohorts made out of 160 men/unit were before emperor Augustus made a reform of his legions. I wanted to have the numbers after that reform.
Jesus Loves You^_^ 18 Jan, 2016 @ 3:13am
And why not to have 10 cohorts to depict 1 legion ? Only asking....
Jesus Loves You^_^ 18 Jan, 2016 @ 3:11am
So this 1,5 or 240 men x 2 = 1 real cohort. What was named this unit of 240 men ? Also a legion had 5200-6000 men, not 9000 !
