as part of the "fuck that floppy hat guy crowd", anyone know if this or other similar mods still get the job done? spent 2 hours just going through broken mods as of the new update since the updates screw over mod authors with weird esoteric changes.

Could you patch it so that crososbowmen & handgunners also don't have floppy hats?

You could also take it from the new dlc? the man with the hats are children of sigmar and the silver bullets

UPDATE

No Floppy Hats mods seem to disable some of the gore effects for some reason, instead of seeing actual dismemberment gore all you see is a head/arm come off but there's no flesh rendered at the point of dismemberment. Basically when I look at what is supposed to be the fleshy stump of an empire soldier's arm, I can see right through the soldier, the gore textures on dismemberment just aren't being rendered because of these mods.

I always thought the Empire in the old world was extremely flamboyant compared to 40K's Imperium. It really puts me off to be honest.

quick update please New DLC came out today

Soldiers in the 1500s would wear a steel scull cap underneath that floppy hat... so they did have protection. The floppy hat was the style of the day, as were slit sleeves and codpieces!

These hats are amazing. Shame on you.

As lore friendly as those hats are, I have never liked the Empire because of how goofy their soldiers look.

i dont know why people are complaining anyway its not like its hurting people its too get rid of the not very nice looking stupid hats. if you dont like it dont get it simple as. And thanks wolfe they all look alot better without them now :)

And unlike most of the other commenters here I actually went out of my way to provide you with at least a decent explanation. I did state why I could understand the mod, everyone does have different visual tastes, that's why I upvoted and subbed to it. Because it makes it more visible to others even if I don't use it personally.
