I know it works like this because the mod makes it so that race specific items can be won over in battle, a proof of this is what I'm here to report, this has also disabled all bias towards dropped any items which includes LEGENDARY ITEMS, purple ones, which can't be used by the winner and a turn after disappears, fix ples.
Amazing mod, love it.
It should be possible but it's going to be really tedious and time consuming. Not something I'm willing to take up, sorry. I'd rather invest that time into making new stuff.
A faster alternative (though not quite what you're wanting) is to simply up the drop rate so you're basically getting an item every battle. Off the top of my head you can add +% magic item chance to an existing skill pretty easily.
