is the temp "infrno" at day and drops to "frezze" at night?
Topher 14 Aug, 2019 @ 8:33am
Ore?
entspeak  [author] 28 Mar, 2019 @ 7:39pm
It will work, but won't look like it does in the screenshots.
Nice Bump! (chat off) 16 Mar, 2019 @ 7:51pm
so does it work or not?
entspeak  [author] 7 Aug, 2018 @ 10:35am
You may be right. I may leave it for gameplay purposes.
Vas 5 Aug, 2018 @ 7:52pm
The atmospheric pressure of Mercury is closer to that of 0.000000000000001 or less, there's no need to include an atmosphere on it.

I added you as a friend. If you could send me a copy of your log from when you tried to load my mod into a new world, I'd appreciate it. Maybe I can help. I certainly don't like the idea that my mod doesn't work for some.
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 10:03am
When you pasted my planet into a new world - by itself with no other mods, it still didn't work?
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 10:02am
@WarDragon - okay, but you said you found the problem. I thought that meant you knew why it wasn't working on your PC.
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 10:01am
@WarDragon - huh? What does my mod have to do with Kietania, Planet Ak117, Planet Irol. Uzrun, and Merkur?
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 10:00am
*Irol
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 9:52am
@WarDragon - I don't understand... was this another mod? Which mod?
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 9:30am
@WarDragon - what was it?
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 8:53am
Just to test something, create a new world with the Mercury mod, spawn the planet in, save it, and then restart the world. Let me know what happens.
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 8:51am
Did you try and tweak your world in some way?
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 8:28am
@WarDragon - now, SE won't start at all? I'd recommend going to the Keen forums and asking there. I have no idea what's happening. Wish I could be of more assistance.
entspeak  [author] 6 Mar, 2017 @ 8:13am
@WarDragon - what were you doing at the time? Sounds like the planet is missing.
RKR_Lodebeard 27 Feb, 2017 @ 1:26pm
Here you go, maybe this will help demosntrsate to anyone who claims it's fixed already...

It's a Keen thing. It does this in all worlds. The problem is most likely with the way that planets are pasted in. I believe they are pasted in upside down. The same issue existed in Medieval Engineers when they introduced planets - though, they say it's been fixed there. I'll take a look at your workaround, thanks!
RKR_Lodebeard 27 Feb, 2017 @ 4:14am
No Problem. I also ran into your video while I was trying to figure out the backward sun rotation. I figured it out. Set <SunRotationIntervalMinutes> to a negative value in Sandbox.sbc. The sun will go the other way! ;)
I made a video to respond with but havent posted it yet.
Crazy coincidence it was your Mercury map I was messing with in an ecliptic system when I realized the sun was going the wrong way...and then your video was the only other thing I could find on it. Have you confirmed any of that on other planets? I have not, but I'll be checking with other planets to see if it's something specific to your mod.
entspeak  [author] 27 Feb, 2017 @ 3:57am
Thanks for catching that and letting me know.
entspeak  [author] 27 Feb, 2017 @ 3:56am
Fixed.
RKR_Lodebeard 26 Feb, 2017 @ 7:15pm
I think I have a bug for you. It is throwing three errors:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2074702/grabs%20for%20forum%20posts/sbcErrorLog.JPG

Your VoxelMaterials.sbc is looking for three _add.dds files which don't exist:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2074702/grabs%20for%20forum%20posts/add.ddsRefs.JPG
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2074702/grabs%20for%20forum%20posts/ddsFiles.JPG

Maybe those three textures are missing, or perhaps they are not needed, in which case I figured you'd like to remove the three lines throwing errors.

Great planet, I love it! The atmospheric density is too high, but I love the model. Thanks!

Nice work here. Thanks!
entspeak  [author] 9 Jan, 2017 @ 2:16pm
MAJOR UPDATE: Keen removed planetary tilt (or adjusted the sun position), so I had to redo the heightmaps and tweaked some other stuff while I was at it.
entspeak  [author] 8 Jan, 2017 @ 12:41am
It seems that Keen has removed the planet tilt that I was compensating for in order to get Ice placed in the correct craters, so I will have to update my heightmaps.
entspeak  [author] 20 Nov, 2016 @ 7:55am
@James - Thanks! I'm currently working on Venus and a more detailed version of the Mars-like. I've also created some original heightmaps that I'm hoping to have textures soon, as well.
Pell 20 Nov, 2016 @ 4:01am
thankyou! this is one of my favourite modded planets. i hope you do more that are this good in the future :)
entspeak  [author] 20 Nov, 2016 @ 12:38am
This update might require pasting in the planet again. I apologize for that.
entspeak  [author] 19 Nov, 2016 @ 10:13pm
I've updated the mod. Please read the change notes.
entspeak  [author] 19 Nov, 2016 @ 7:17pm
@James - Thanks for pointing it out, I will take a look at the issue as soon as I can. Most likely has to do with the change in the way textures are handled. I asked if it would affect planet textures, but got no response from anyone. Guess, this is the answer.
Pell 19 Nov, 2016 @ 2:13am
i think the textures on this mod are broken, the planet is completely pink when i spawn it in http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/144508080730010224/D0B9956D5F83A0E2E1A4462B75907DBE74E52E7A/
entspeak  [author] 6 Nov, 2016 @ 8:08pm
Major update coming soon: planet tilt, slight retexturing, and atmosphere.
entspeak  [author] 9 Sep, 2016 @ 11:01am
Thanks to the devs and moderators for their help with this issue.
entspeak  [author] 9 Sep, 2016 @ 4:37am
And... we're back.
entspeak  [author] 5 Sep, 2016 @ 5:53pm
Can't make a planet with a hole in it - the game won't allow it. It only allows a sphere.
AzureAssaulter 5 Sep, 2016 @ 2:48pm
can you make a really large planet with lots of ice and ore with a hole through the center or at least with two really deep pits on either side that end near each other
entspeak  [author] 4 Sep, 2016 @ 2:55pm
I don't quite understand what you mean.
Quarior 4 Sep, 2016 @ 11:45am
I think this is the parameters that are not good, but too it makes me the time I get Select activities "peaks" in height on planets while in spaceengine, we do not see them. Yet my setup looks good.
entspeak  [author] 4 Sep, 2016 @ 7:36am
I wish I could do the crater trails. They look great in World Machine, but just don't translate well into voxels.
Quarior 4 Sep, 2016 @ 1:52am
Always magnificent. Almost looks like reality :) .
entspeak  [author] 3 Sep, 2016 @ 6:16pm
Updated with texture improvements... see new screenshots to get a glimpse.
Quarior 29 Aug, 2016 @ 1:26am
OK, again good luck.
entspeak  [author] 28 Aug, 2016 @ 7:21pm
My take on Venus won't be actively volcanic, obviously, as that's not possible and I'm not a fan of the fake lava textures that I've seen - if it's not going to give off heat, I don't see the point.. So, I will likely make it all look dormant if I can. It's necessary to take some liberties considering the game engine and what's possible.
Quarior 28 Aug, 2016 @ 2:30pm
Thanks you and you're welcome ! And I am eager to this update, especially if there is hopefully an update for gas planet planets, it would suit me.
Otherwise not for rings, someone had managed to do so but no longer works his method because I had downloaded the mod where the ring was actually a cloud layer.
After the very difficult solution are the rings in 3D but must put them one by one, and must also have a good computer for posted limit of 50 km, but it's not enough to have the same result as seen from a distance in reality for Saturn.

Just but I don't make, Venus is a volcanic planet, I do not know if you planned volcanoes, and for Io. Then for Phobos and Deimos, and put both types of "Moon". Your map was great too, am anxious to see the result of this update, even if it is not necessarily to scale.
entspeak  [author] 28 Aug, 2016 @ 1:57pm
@quarior14 - awesome! For my mod, I don't think I'm going to have Mercury or Venus be smaller than 120km. The heightmaps are so gorgeous and it's wonderful to have the massive craters of Mercury, so I decided against it. Since they have no moons and are so distant from the Earth, I feel that leaving them 120km is fine because there's nothing visible for reference. As for the gas giants, I am only go to go as far as Jupiter and its moons because we can't do rings. I got Venus' thick cloud cover mostly working and moving nicely, but it's just the dark side that is problematic. Hopefully, they will add the ability to mod the transparency of the cloud cover. Good luck to you, as well.
Quarior 28 Aug, 2016 @ 1:51pm
@entspeak - OK, and I've got Mercury to Mars , this is also the map that it inspired me to do the solar system scale where 120 km diameter corresponds to the Earth (and I like planets).
For gas giants and ice giants, I have not succeeded, I have just the core without the atmosphere, I would not use a solid voxel to the gas giants because I wanted to go to their core. Also I did not Photoshop and World Machine so it limits me.
I wish you good luck and good luck for your mods.
entspeak  [author] 28 Aug, 2016 @ 1:38pm
@quarior14 - I've got a world that is 1/5000th scale of the solar system - Mercury to Mars . I've got plans to add Jupiter and its moons once Keen allow modding to create opaque clouds (which they claim they will be doing). I'm quite happy with it. As soon as I finish Venus, I'm going to create another world and scenario for this. The tiles for this planet are 2048x2048 and I created them in World Machine. I'm going to retest my crater trails since the new renderer makes planets look so much better.
Quarior 28 Aug, 2016 @ 10:10am
What is the resolution of this map ?
Otherwise, I made a Solar System in a scale 1:0.0094 if it helps you.
