You have my permission in return for a small mention.
Ologhai 30 Oct, 2017 @ 7:24am
Hi GunFred, mind if i use your troll's accessories in my troll warlord mod?
kapitulation 21 Sep, 2017 @ 1:09pm
I think renaming them to swamp trolls is a fantastic idea.
GunFred  [author] 20 Sep, 2017 @ 10:38pm
I have had the thought of renaming them (yet again...) into "Swamp Trolls" and making them available to both Greenskins and Norsca. Does anyone have any objection to the 2nd name change?
StormBreaker 19 Sep, 2017 @ 10:18pm
Could these be added to Norsca/Wintertooth?
GunFred  [author] 12 Sep, 2017 @ 11:32am
@ago339, Glad that you love it. :)

@ Repetzzon, It appears that the unit did already have resilience but I really should update the old misleading picture. I will probably update the unit sometime this week.
ago339 11 Sep, 2017 @ 9:58pm
i love the phrase "lore hostile" xD also love the unit of course. i just wanted to say that xD
GunFred  [author] 3 Sep, 2017 @ 7:02am
Thank you for telling me this, I will fix this.
Repetzzon 3 Sep, 2017 @ 7:00am
I have not tested them yet, as I just started a new game. But they do not have Resilience against Barren wasteland and Desert.

PackFileManager is the primary tools for most mods but also Photoshop for texturing.
Zerks M. 8 Jan, 2017 @ 2:08am
hello what mod tool did you use to do this mod?
GunFred  [author] 17 Dec, 2016 @ 5:09am
I have updated the trolls to be compatible with the latest update. I also took the liberty to remove the abilities HideForest, Terror and ImmunityPsychology. Don't worry about the nerf as they should still be more than worth their cost. They are basically armoured trolls but with Poison and Frenzy. Frenzy is the ability used by savage orcs and gives ImmunityPsychology at +50% morale anyway.
Orc101 15 Dec, 2016 @ 2:01pm
cool thanks
GunFred  [author] 15 Dec, 2016 @ 11:39am
I will try to update it this weekend.

GunFred  [author] 23 Oct, 2016 @ 2:20pm
I have updated the mod and it should now work with the latest patch. I also renamed them into "Savage Trolls". Let me know if there are any issues...

I think you should do like 3 or 4 types of Ogres for each Chaos God. People prefer when you stay close to the Lore. Assigning each of those you listed, and coloring thier outfits to match each God would be HUGLY successful. (Example, Slaughtermasters of Khorne-Red black and gold motif frenzied ogres. Firebellies of Tzeench- Blue-motif Ogres with spell-like abilities).
Something else that would be popular as hell, would be adding characters. One problem is, when they are added they tend to have a Karl Franz portrait. People HATE that, so what someone should do, is add the Chaos Marauder models (the NPC unique Varg and Skaeling models) to the recruitable hero and lord chaos roster. When someone did this for empire (Varied Generals mod) he got like 3k subs in the first 6 hrs it was up.
GunFred  [author] 30 Aug, 2016 @ 2:11am
I actually had an idea for a seperate project which combines chaos dwarfs and ogre kingdoms. Ogres would be a word for chaos mutated dwarfs, dragon ogres would replace bull centaurs and fire worship suits the ogre culture well as a fire has endless hunger and is used for cooking and smithing alike. But as mentioned, this would be a seperate project if it ever happens...
steelmidnight 30 Aug, 2016 @ 1:04am
Great Idea....The separation of Gods is a big deal to Chaos players, but I can see that as being too much to have to do...So how bout space what you make according to Gods. IE, Tyrant-Slaaneshi, Slaughtermaster-Khorne-Firebellys-Tzeench, ect. This would keep you from having to do multiples for each God, and add even more versitility, while appeasing fans of Chaos. "Chaos Ogre Kingdoms"? Awesome concept, man. Very cool.
GunFred  [author] 29 Aug, 2016 @ 4:38pm
I want to make units based on the Kingdom's roster but for Chaos. While I do not super fancy the idea of having versions of every unit for each god, though I would not be against a unique unit for each god.
Units I would like to make include the following...
Tyrant: Melee General
Slaughtermaster: Support General
Bruisers: Melee Hero
Butchers: Support Hero OR Slayers
Firebellies: Fire Hero OR Flamethrowers
Ogre Hunters: Xbows OR Throwing (throwing could be tough to make well)
Ogre Bulls: Shields/Greatweapons/no shield?
Ironguts: Greatweapons
Leadbelchers: Trollhammers
Maneaters: Maybe...
Generals and heroes are lowest priority since I have Little experience in dealing with them so far.
steelmidnight 29 Aug, 2016 @ 2:48am
If you create a variety of Ogres, I think it would be VERY popular. I stopped playing Warhammer in 6th edition (before Ogre Kingdoms) so I dont know the different troop types they have. But Chaos Ogres, I know well. And Chaos Ogres are also slightly better then Empire Ogres. But not by much. If I remember right, they had 1 more point on 2 of thier stats, and were otherwise identical in power. Make 5 types, one for each God, and one in black for undivided, and that would kick ASS! And I am sure a fan of the Ogre Kingdoms would be MORE then willing to help you on those XD
steelmidnight 29 Aug, 2016 @ 2:42am
There are Three types of Ogre "species" in Warhammer. There are the Ogre KIngdom type, which are dressed to match an "Empire" feel, human skin colored, and a bit talled then Trolls. There are Chaos Ogres, which look mutated, and can vary in color from tan to brown to red to greenish (depending on which God they worship, Red-Khorne, Green-Nurgle-Pinkish-SLaanesh-A blu-ish pallor-Tzeench) and then their are the Ogres allied with the Greenskins (I think these have been discontinued for a long time, but would still make people happy) and they just generally look like big ass Orcs. All are around the same size as one another, and have slightly better stats then trolls, are armoured, and cause fear.Use the height of Dragon Ogres for a scale, they are the same height roughly. Ogre kingdoms Ogres WONT associate with Chaos Ogres. SO if you do them, make sure they are distinct from each other XD
GunFred  [author] 29 Aug, 2016 @ 2:34am
After doing some tests I got pretty interested in an ogre project. I think I got all the models for decent ogres which are mainly a mix of chaos dwarf and slayer. I intend to base the units on the actual Ogre Kingdom units but I feel like taking some creative freedoms like changing the pink skin to something closer to the leathery dragon ogres to set ogres apart from dwarves more (chs dwf heads look similar to DO heads). Also, I would appreciate some information regarding their height so I don't mess that part up.
steelmidnight 28 Aug, 2016 @ 2:54pm
People would go crazy for some Chaos Ogres (or them empire scum and greenskin rabble may enjoy regular Ogres haha). And you have the artistic touch, looking over your stuff. I think you could :)
GunFred  [author] 28 Aug, 2016 @ 3:24am
Chaos dwarf heads with slayer bodies might not look too bad. Getting those circular metal plates on the stomachs is the hard part though. The slayers have small circular plates and texturizing larger plates on models would be a challenge. But maybe I will look into it.
steelmidnight 27 Aug, 2016 @ 10:08pm
If your good with re-skins, and resizing units, you could probably make Chaos Ogres (they are Lore friendly) out of giant models or maybe (ALOT of skinning) troll models. I am surprised no one has done so.
GunFred  [author] 11 Aug, 2016 @ 1:05pm
Updated with a new unit card and mod thumbnail.
Bacon God 8 Aug, 2016 @ 11:25am
@HeySexy same here
GunFred  [author] 8 Aug, 2016 @ 10:49am
I would happily make it compatible with your collection but I can't see which mods are compatible from the workshop alone and I can't reasonably test it with that entire collection. I did test it with Radious and some greenskin unit mod with no issue and those seemed the most likely to conflict with mine. If adding my mod to ur collection does something other than crashing the game then maybe I could identify the problem but other than that I can only recommend that you remove multiple mods from your collection at a time until you find a combination that works with my mod and do some detective work from there.
HeySexy 7 Aug, 2016 @ 6:26pm
Can you make this compatible with my collection or tell me which mods are not compatible? Ultimate Total War: Warhammer Mod Collection: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=716794585

I wish I could accept your request but I just don't see the fun in having another giant, just bigger and looking more or less the same. If you want it enough to make it yourself, I can tell you how it is done. Fairly easy once you know how things are done.
Bacon God 24 Jul, 2016 @ 3:09am
i have a request to mod bonegrinder giant it is 2 times bigger than normal giant cost is much higher and stats are better

Guvenoren, don't worry. I am actually a fairly nice guy with an average dick-to-body ratio. :P

@Guvenoren Dont be so sensitive

Not going to lie, how you type your descriptions makes you sound like a real dick
GunFred  [author] 22 Jul, 2016 @ 4:19pm
They use the weapons of both normal and armored trolls. I think all of the weapons fit very well with my textures and the big broccoli-looking ones certainly fit my trolls better than the armored chaos trolls. So to answer you question, removing the broccoli would be as easy as merely drag-selecting and deleting a piece of text. However I personally like broccoli and am unwilling to make an alternative version for something minor like that. But if it really bothers you then you can just download the PackFileManager and do that easy adjustment yourself.
[L9] Rhinopotamus 22 Jul, 2016 @ 3:52pm
Is it possible to switch out their weapons for the normal troll ones?
